Flower Bed

I prepped the small flower bed...pulled the weeds... I went to the local hardware store earlier this spring and bought some copper pipe for solar light holders and just stuck them in the ground willy nilly.
Before:
During

The OCD in me wanted to do something about those Solar Lights...so I lined them up. Perfect!

After I took this photo I added some more soil and planted these flowers.
Red and White Impatiens, a Double Impatiens mixed colors, Salvia Red and Salvia Victoria Blue, Blue Pansy and Yellow Violas.

I hope they grow and the squirrels leave them alone. I also hope it doesn't freeze.

I like your pretty flowers, mine are just finishing now as its winter here.

The impatients always remind me of a neighbor we use to have...it will be fun to see yours once they are established.

Very pretty. Our prairie spiderwort is blooming. It is a lot like the garden spiderwort my mother gave me but sturdier. I think there is another name for it but I've forgotten it.

Love it. My flowers are doing well. I planted less this year to cut down on the work. More perennials and less annuals and no veggie garden. Too wet.

Are you still in possible freeze weather? I sure don't know much about Minnesota, and what I do know makes me glad I don't live there! :-)

Parts of Minnesota froze last night :(

Looks great. I haven't purchased any flowers yet - still a chance of frost.

It's been chilly, hasn't it? Good luck.

I hope it doesn't freeze also...always the worry in spring.

I sure hope it doesn't freeze there either. We are getting the heat here and if I could I'd send some of it your way.

It looks good. I love your solar garden.

I bet this little spot will look fantastic with those flowers! Our gardens – flowers and veggies – have all been delayed so much because of all the flooding, but I was able to get things in the ground at both the kids' houses during short intervals. Flooding is finally receding, so hopefully we can get everything else in! ♥

I sure hope it doesn't freeze too... it is June after all! I never thought of using copper pipe for solar lights... very clever, and it looks great!

Your lights and flowers look great. I hope there is no freeze for you. It's supposed to be 39 here this weekend and it's 82 today! Crazy weather.

It should look great with all the different colors. We were cool this morning and I had to wear a long sleeve shirt for a coat. I can’t believe we still have cold. It is raining here again. I mowed before it started.

I can see that light and color are important to you. Makes sense, given where you live.

Pretty flower beds!

It looks very nice - the flowers are such pretty colors! I have gone through all of my lights and tried to fix some of the old ones. Now down to the ones that don't work - finally some of my original ones I believe are done.

Your flowers are lovely and I too like the way your solar lights line up. I hope you do not get a freeze until next Fall!

Oh yes, the solar lights look much better neatly lined up! I'm with all the others who are hoping you don't get a late frost.
