Dogs

It was so cold we had sundogs.  We are NOT  expected to climb out of the deep freeze any time soon.

We sure enjoyed our grand dog company.

Miss Miney and Little Elvis were at the groomers.  They wake us up early and boss us around...after their visit to the groomers they were real tired.  They kept Far Guy company whilst Jen and I went to Bingo with my Dad...good thing we took him along as he hollered bingo twice!
Nice to have sleeping dogs to walk around again if only for a few days!

You can't beat the beauty of a collie face....no matter what kind. I raised collies growing up and they always hold a special place in my heart. Miney and Elvis are precious!

Collies or shelties? They are beautiful! Mine wakes me up early too, I wish she'd sleep in once in awhile. Once I'm up she goes back to sleep, as her job is completed. We are expecting real cold weather coming very very soon. I think you must be sending it this way!

They are gorgeous. That short time I was without Morris, I felt so lost and lonely. Even though we didn't have two sided conversations per se, we sure did talk a lot.

They are such beautiful dogs. Bitter cold here also. Had to change my desktop wallpaper to tropical scenes just to make me feel warmer.

So...are you going to get another dog?

I know you still miss Chance, I do too. I was so happy to be surrounded by dog love in Florida and just yesterday offered to help out with a friend's dog when she travels next summer. A cute little guy. I miss my sister's new dog who adopted me when I was there. :-)

I haven't seen a sun dog yet this winter, but I always think of my Mom when I do. Glad to hear your Dad had the opportunity to say, "Bingo!" a couple of times.

We all still miss Chance so much. Nice to have his furry friends to visit. I've only seen one sun dog in my lifetime. Great photo capture. Stay safe and warm.

It had to feel so good to have a dog in the house again--even for just a short while. They are so beautiful.

I wondered if Odda has come to visit since Chance has been gone?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sun dog. It’s still pretty cold here too. And I loved your visitors. I miss seeing dogs on your blog. How sweet to have the grand dogs visit. Many blessings, Betsy

They are such nice dogs. I hope Far Guy is getting ahead of the cold. The weather sure doesn’t help anybody sick or well. Barney and I are barely surviving the outdoor visits. Layers of coats, thermals and snow pants help.

I have some nice above 0 C weather here. It'll be along in a few days.

Your grand dogs are beautiful. I love that photo of them looking alert to human interaction.

Your granddogs are gorgeous! We are having the classic west coast 'golf all winter' weather. Not complaining. Many in the east have had it so bitterly cold, including my sister in Ontario. Sure hope you get an early Spring.

I'm glad you were able to have the pleasure of Miney and Little Elvis' company for a few days.

They are so pretty! We had a moon dog the night before the eclipse this week when it wasn’t even cold by Minnesota standards.

Somehow I missed this post. Years ago Tom broke his hip and I had to drive him to work in a cold January. We saw the sundogs on our way to his work, only time we ever saw them. We wo;; never forget them. One of the men he worked with told him what they were. The man had been stationed in one of the Dakotas during the winter.
