Nine years

I have been blogging for nine years.  It doesn’t seem like it has been that long. It has been an adventure, one that I enjoy.   I have met many other bloggers from all over the world, visiting them is like going on a vacation without leaving the comfort of my home.

The Grands have grown up on this blog. A few even read it from time to time.

I guess I have just a few more things to say….a few more history related stories to leave for the Grands…I have all the emails that I sent during the Flood of 1997, a Indiana friend Ardith saved them for me.   I also have a whole bunch of letters that I wrote to my best friend Susan in the late 1980’s and 1990’s… she actually saved them all for me.

So I will continue.

George Vancouver

These beautiful George Vancouver roses are for me today and I hope you will enjoy them too. In the midst of winter I can almost smell these blooms that are clustered together on the bush like little bouquets.

Thank you for reading!

I am not sure when exactly I discovered you, but it was early in my blogging career. I started in 2009, I think, so you have been a friend of mine for almost a decade! I'm glad you will continue blogging. I'd miss you otherwise. And Chance and Far Guy as well! :-)

I started blogging on January 3, 2008, so my 9 year anniversary is coming up too. Blogging isn't as "fashionable" as it used to be (Gah! Does anyone even use that word any more? !!!)
I have enjoyed your blog and will continue as long as you keep posting.

We started blogging in the same year, and I was thrilled to find Far Side of Fifty and then your two other blogs. Certainly happy you haven't switched to Instagram like so many others. Keep writing and posting, and I'll keep reading!

I am a terrible blogger. I had to go look and I missed my 10 year anniversay on June 10th this summer! But I don't blog every day like you do! You amaze me! Congrats on nine years and counting. Those roses do look extra lovely right now with everything white and glaring. ;)

Congratulations on nine years. I don't remember when I first read your blog but it only took one visit to know that I wanted to follow and read what you write. I don't know how you find something interesting to write about every day, but you do.

I will enter nine in September but am debating on quietly slipping away from Blogdom.

Good for you! I read once that the average life of a blog was something like 3 months but most of those that I rwad are well over that and you've been really steady at it. Congrats!
