Handmade Ornaments and Cold Weather

I have several very special handmade ornaments from a few of the Grandkids.  I am not sure they even remember.

Yarn Hat from savannah

A little yarn hat from Savannah, she made two; one for us and one for Chance!

Yarn Hat from savannah (2)

I think the hats were made about 2007.

Adams handmade ornament

Adam made me this angel ornament in 2010.

Maddies cinnamon ornament

Maddie made this angel cinnamon ornament in 2007. Nine years ago and you can still smell the cinnamon.

It was pretty cold on Sunday morning. By Tuesday we will be 60 degrees warmer…crazy weather anyway.

I just posted on yesterdays post about today....duh! Anyway, I love the ornaments and I have to go grocery shopping today. It won't get above freezing today and if I wait until tomorrow it will be in the 40's but the highs are never until about 3:00 p.m. and I can't wait that long anyway....I start getting tired about then! LOL! This will be a big list for the holidays....I'll cover all the way past New Years. You never know this time of year. They're predicting snow here Christmas Day! That would be a Christmas miracle! Although, one year when my daughter's family was here it did snow on Christmas Day and there was no snow in Iowa....too funny! It was gone by afternoon though. Down here they don't have the good blizzards that I love but a few years ago there was a pretty good one with about 6 inches of snow so we can't rule it out. This year is starting off pretty cold....colder than it's ever been this early so I want to be ready! Stay warm and stay indoors if you can!

Such precious ornaments. I treasure all my handmade ones. We are having the same weather as you. First we had all the snow, now we have the bitter cold and terrible wind chills. Just keep safe and warm.

They are sure cute. I especially like the little hat. That is a HUGE temperature difference. All that powdery snow will turn into concrete. :-)

The best ornaments are the ones that are handmade. Stay warm out there!

Stay safe! The big mushy melt has started here this morning. We had a chuckle over some of our handmade ornaments when we were decorating the tree.

Boy, that's cold! Wonder what January and February will bring you.... I love the handmade ornaments with all their memories the most. My girls made those little hats, too, but i don't have them anymore as the cat got them and had a good time batting them around the floor. (Rosie says to tell you "the cat" was NOT her!)

I have been feeling unhappy about our cold weather. It was 15 degrees here (Arkansas) this morning. I see what you are having to live with and think "I will survive". Hope we both have a warm up soon!

How special to have all those memories of the kids. I love your pictures that you've included of your Christmas home. Merry Christmas to all of you!

Every thing is beautiful except that temperature.

Merry Christmas.

I'm glad your temperatures are rising. 60^ in a few days does sound drastic though. With the ground frozen I wonder if you'll have a problem with flooding.

What is it with this crazy weather, anyhow?! But I bet you'll find a place to tuck those extra sixty degrees ;)

Those special ornaments with stories are the best!
That is going to be a sudden thaw. I hope everyone stays safe.
