We are both feeling our age this Spring...we need some Geritol or something to perk us up...although some warm sunny weather might help.
Yesterday we went to the transfer station with our garbage, we stopped by recycle, turned in some no longer used medications at the Sheriff's Office, went by the Post Office to mail a package and ordered and paid for a recliner with heat and massage. We checked a bunch of stuff off our list.
I took this photo of an aging church a number of years ago....up North someplace.
We fixed grilled cheese sandwiches and chili from the freezer for supper.
It spit rain a bit yesterday...not enough to amount to anything.
Far Side
A recliner with heat and massage will be very helpful, I bet!
ReplyDeleteYou got such a lot done. Warm sunny days will help, for sure. :)
We’re getting older and slower. Just push on is my advice.
ReplyDeleteThat recliner sounds like a good idea. I feel myself getting older, too.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a good grilled cheese sandwich on a cold, grey day!
ReplyDeleteSome sunshine would be nice. I can see a bit of blue sky out the window to the north, and I have hope we'll see some sunshine later today.
ReplyDeleteAnd I consider you 'up north'! You will enjoy the chair.
ReplyDeleteLots of rain here today...the church steeple is very pretty even with it's age. Glad you were able to get these errands done. Who gets the chair..you or FG. Blessings..
ReplyDeleteI think we shall share the chair:)
DeleteI am feeling old, and discouraged, too. But at 80, I guess I am old. I'm hoping the sunshine today will help raise my spirits. Maybe these wo days of sunshine will get sent east to you.
ReplyDeleteWarm spring weather does cure what ails you many times. Let's hope it does the trick for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the company who makes your recliner? Is it like the one at Jen's that you enjoyed so very much? Just curious because we know some other people in our house who feel their age some days, too and might want to buy one.
ReplyDeleteIt is called Boyington Power Recliner made by Ashley Furniture. Yes very similar to the recliner at Jen and Andys.
DeleteI too am feeling my age, aches and pains! Hugs to to both, Gravy
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very busy day! It has been gray and cold and wet here and I have no ambition at all. A recliner with heat and massage sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a productive day for you two. We live in our recliners although they aren't heated. I always feel old. We have snow flurries right now but it poured rain most of yesterday. That's okay, we need the moisture but I will it was just a bit warmer, like in the upper 50's or 60's.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I think some warm sunny weather would work as well as Geritol!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! I remember when I used to walk every day and now I can make it to the mail box and back and then I have to sit down because my back hurts. But, I'm still ambulatory so that's good. Your recliner sounds great. I paid an arm and a leg for one that the doctor said I should get to sleep in because of my back....I spent 1 night in it and it was awful. I spent about $2,000 getting everything he thought I needed and I've used none of it but.....I may need it in the future so I'm prepared! LOL! I would have preferred using the money for something else.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the massage and for heat I use my electric lap throw which keeps my old bones warm.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of buying a recliner and heat and massage sound great. Would you visit my blog and tell me in your comment what brand you bought? Costco had them on sale at a still high price.
ReplyDeleteOh, ha ha. Disregard my comment asking for the brand of recliner, I see it in a comment from you it is a Boyington power recliner. The one at Costco was $5700 on sale.
ReplyDeleteI hope the new recliner will help you feel better. On dreary days I have no ambition at all sometimes. Nice weather should help you feel better right?
ReplyDeleteIt will be nice to have that recliner! I've never sat in one with heat & massage. Warmer days are coming.
ReplyDeleteWe are exhausted also. Too much work. I'm glad page came and helped.
