This is one of the sculptures on Main Street. Now that the majority of the tourists have gone home maybe I can photograph them all.
This one is called Big Money
Not sure what the artist was thinking.
Yesterday (Thursday) was a busy day. Medical appointment to schedule after being on hold for what seemed like an eternity, grocery shopping and I made it back to the clinic before Far Guy was done with his weekly infusion...two sticks this week as there was a new gal practicing:(
Far Side
Hah Hah! Maybe money is the title because the artist is hoping someone would pay big money for it!
ReplyDeleteYour husband must feel like a pin cushion some weeks. That sculpture is interesting - I was thinking it had a Native American feel to it. Until you mentioned the name. Guess I don't see what the artist was saying either.
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite sculpture, but I do like the base.
ReplyDeletePoor Far Guy, I'd hate to have so many needles.
Poor Far Guy. I do like the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I rarely see what the sculptor "wanted to say" with any given piece. I prefer my art simple and straight forward. I must be a Philistine.
ReplyDeleteNo idea what the meaning of that sculpture is! I think it looks like it is crying.
ReplyDeleteTerry always HATES getting someone new --- practicing...it's the worst.
ReplyDeleteI’m not sure about the sculpture ! But I’m sure the creator liked it.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand that sculpture, either. It looks fine but what does it have to do with big money--who know? That's about how much I understand "art"--lol!
ReplyDeleteI don't always understand art.
ReplyDeleteBruce had a port put in after his second infusion, they couldn't get the IV in, tried 3x then called in someone from another floor who had to try 2x. That was enough for him. But the port is not pain free either. The whole thing is really hard.
That is an interesting name for that sculpture. I see an eye with tears...and the arrows must mean something. I guess I would have to study the artist instead of studying the sculpture. :)
ReplyDeletePoor Far Guy and his arm! Ouch! That is a strange sculpture.
