A nearby lake has had permanent pairs of swans living there for many years. But I've never seen wild ones around here. We have a lovely rain this morning, and sure hope we don't see any more snowflakes this spring.
Looks about the same here. Snow in the shaded areas and the grass is greening up in the sunny spots. We also get swans flying over every day. The crop fields are bare now, and we are seeing a lot of hawks perched in roadside trees looking for mice to show up in the fields.
We are on our second day of rain. I saw an amazing sight years ago. I was in the barn and heard an unfamiliar sound. There were hundreds of swans flying toward the west. It was mind-blowing. Before smart phones so no chance of a video.
I always enjoyed when the swans flew into the lake in the spring but boy, I sure kept my distance from them. They could be brutal! Our son sent a photo of their front yard buried in snow again during the night. No riding his motorcycle to work again today. He's getting disgusted with this and I imagine you're tired of it too. Blessings, Betsy

SO fun watching swans!!
They’re noisy! I hope you got to hear as well as see them. They’ve still got a long way to go to reach their nesting grounds.
Beautiful birds!

No snow down here but a late freeze may happen here on Saturday night. I certainly hope they are wrong.
I hope you don't get snow, but I looked at the weather and see all sorts of 'stuff' heading through the Midwest. Rain, snow, sleet, and storms.
I think the swans have moved on from here.
Yesterday I drove in both a sleet storm with sleet on the road and 3 miles later, a raging downpour.
They are quite majestic! :)
Nice! I'm not sure I've ever seen trumpeter swans in the flesh.
Hopefully the majority of the snow has fallen here before it reaches you. We've had close to 35 cm (14 in) over 48 hours. Blech!
Our snow just left and today is sunny again. Woohoo. Happy Weekend.

We get swans from time to time but I'm not sure what kind they are. They sure are great to see!
And we are getting more cold rain, before it hopefully warms up next week.
And no swans
Pretty. We had Tundra swans flying over a few months ago!
Swans are such a delicate bird. I rarely see them. Our Canadas are all flying over to change from lake to ponds.
Swans have arrived here too but they don't stay long.
The Trumpeter Swans are beautiful. So exciting to see them. Hope your Spring continues!

They are beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen them.
I would love to see them in the wild!
