Woodcarving

Far Guy has been busy woodcarving, he has a spot downstairs and has a huge dust collector system that takes all the dust out of the air.

He recruited Jen to paint for him and to find good homes for the carvings.

She is keeping the water lily.  No surprise as she likes anything to do with water.

This is the Gaillardia or Blanket Flower....I heard it is going to someone special.

Wow, these carvings are beautiful!! I especially like the water lily. I used to have a white one that flowered prolifically in my pond. Looked just like this one. I loved taking photos of it. Far Guy (and Jen) did a great job!

These are beautiful! Would love to see some in progress pictures sometime. Like how the petals are carved and how they are attached...

The flowers are outstanding. They amaze me. I saw a Sherlock show where paper folded flowers were left for the victims. I had to look up the way to paper fold a lotus flower. I reminded me of the water lily carving. I need to get to the folding.

Glad things could be set up for Far Guy to get to do some wood carving. I'm sure whoever gets the things Jen can bare to part with will love them.
