On my desk

Someone is getting real cozy with me, sliding up on my desk more and more everyday.  Then this happened!

Yes she wanted my attention!  Sadie is 18 weeks old now.  This week she is continuing to be on her own at night...out of her kennel...she lets herself out the doggie door and can get a drink of water when ever she wants.  One mess up and she will be back in the kennel at night.   She uses the doggie door mostly...she still goes to the patio door in the daytime to be let out sometimes.  Sometimes I lead her to the doggie door instead of using the patio door.  She has learned a new word...Hungry, If you ask her if she is hungry she comes running to be fed her ration of food. ...and we have a dog bed in the kitchen where she sits to have a treat...sometimes she goes there and looks pathetic...sometimes she gets a treat and sometimes not....but she gives it a try.

She misses her other people.

 Smiths Reef

They will be back in a week, they have gone someplace very beautiful...and warm!

Glad Sadie is getting better at using the dogie door - sure helps you out a lot. Love the picture of the reef.

OH that is hilarious! Love it!
Aren't dogs fun? They can be so expressive. Okay, cats are too...I don't want to offend anyone!

We had some snow so everything looks fresh again and not quite as muddy.

What a cutie! It's amazing how quickly they connect certain things with food.

Oh Sadie, what a character. I'm imagining full-sized doing the leap onto the desk...there won't be much else left on it.

Nice for your family to get away. Especially where it is nice and warm.

That looks like a wonderful get-a-way place. I'm in!!!
Sadie is getting so smart and independent. She's going to miss you two so much when you go home. Our Chloe used a doggy door and we had pet feeder on a timer for her food. She was a pretty self care dog. The feeder was from my working days. We didn't want her to have to go so long between her meals as rarely it could be upwards of 12 hours. It would be so nice for Zoey to have a door but we have to take her in and out. She still gets up twice during the night which is a pain.
Blessings,
Betsy

I have never raised a puppy, and seeing how much work it is, I wouldn't want to, but I sure get pleasure out of watching you and Sadie. You ARE a dog whisperer!

That Sadie is quite the character...she looks so huge on your desk! Hope she didn't eat anything important up there! :) So you've got the house to yourselves for a week....hope your daughter and hubby have a super good time where they went.
