Joy

I saw this box the other day, since it had my middle name on it of course it jumped right into my cart!

I needed some place to put Christmas Cards...the forwarding of mail is SLOW.  From what I can tell it takes bout 11 days.  Who knew.  We now have two Christmas Cards!

Isn't that box just perfect!

I am working on a crochet mitten pattern.  I am using wool and wool blends ...several different kinds to see what works the best!

What brings you joy?

Good things happening to people brings me joy. Just being out and seeing all that is around me in nature is so enthralling to me. I love the trees, sky, rocks, streams, birds, all God’s kingdom. I find joy in other’s blogs such as yours.

I did not know you were into pretty boxes. They are useful for storing things that bring you joy! This is a great time of year to find beautiful boxes.

My husband, son, friends like you, my beloved four legged family and nature all bring me true joy. I will stop there, although I really should add chocolate. LOL!

Today my joy comes from looking outside at the fresh white snow sparkling in the sunshine.

Sounds like you have plenty of joy in your life right now. A lot of things bring me joy, especially things that allow me to be creative.

Sitting in front of a nice fire in my fireplace with a good book and enough uninterrupted quiet time that I actually fall asleep at some point and wake up to embers a couple hours later.

Lovely box! I too collect certain boxes. Tins too if they have horses on them. I have one box that I have had for about 45 years. It is a Maja Myrugia perfume box, big enough to store letters, old concert tickets and trinkets in. It has a lovely flamenco dancer on its lid.
What brings me joy? Knowing that I am loved, and all the interactions with my critters, but my greatest joy is in the peace I get from prayer.

Pretty box! Joy is waking up in the morning to a new day, with the ability to spend my time (mostly) as I please, enjoying creative pursuit, and spending time with my family.

You have a lovely middle name!

I love that box, Connie!! What brings me joy? It depends on the day and the circumstances. Sometimes it's a shot of whiskey!!!! :-D

As to the comment you left on my blog, regarding notifying the FDA about the difference in some meds between the generic & brand name, they already know. In fact, so many generic drug companies were being sued over it that in 2011 the Supreme Court ruled that people can NOT sue generic drug manufacturers for defects in their medicines. The FDA knows how to cover its butt.

Never trust a governmental agency that ends in "A"... FDA, FHA, FSA, USHA, FSA, you name it!! In fact, never trust government, period! :-/

Love ya~ Andrea xoxo

Every day is a joy (okay, sometimes I have to search for the joy, but it’s always there).

Keeping your Christmas cards in that pretty box gives me the idea to do likewise.

I don't think I knew your middle name was Joy...what a great name and the box is very pretty! Right now cleaning is bringing me joy believe it or not. I know...I shock myself! There is other stuff that needs to be done but the cleaning bug doesn't hit me very often so I need to go with it.

I just sent one from Ankeny today. Let's just see how long it takes. We send things to our kids in Maine and the stuff my mail can sit in holding for a long time. I bet your home office likes to pile them up before the deal with them.

Love the box (fellow collector of boxes, so useful!). My Christmas Card mail is zipping along. I mailed them one day and two days later started to hear from people who had received them. I have a handful every day in my mail box too. And, I hate to put this in print, we have had zero issues this year with boxes shipping to others or to us. I read on our city Facebook page about Amazon shipments to the wrong house, packages marked delivered on line but were not delivered in person. One person even included a photo of her package on a porch in front of a door. Not her porch or door, but I guess the delivery person snaps a photo to prove delivery? She wondered if anyone recognized the house. Every package has made it to my porch in record time. I suppose that will all end now.

Well.....one thing that brings me JOY is reading your blog every day! Is your middle name Joy? What a beautiful name! I can't believe it is taking that long for you to get your mail forwarded. I sent your card about 3 days after Thanksgiving, so you should be getting mine soon! That IS a pretty card box too!

I do love finding Christmas cards in my mail box. I'm afraid mine will be late this year. I ordered photo cars on line and didn't realize they would arrive until Dec 17th.

Seeing my children and grandchildren bring me joy. So does watching birds at the feeders. Getting acquainted with people like you and Far Guy.
