A new flag is up.
And I decorated the wreath outside the front door.
Santas this year and the red lights. It might need a bit of something else...but I rather like its simplicity. Both of the santas were garage sale finds that I rescued and repainted!
I worked on several projects while it was so cold. One was finished and ready to mail and the other is in progress. One is a surprise for someone and the other is a baby gift. I will share photos later.
It has been bitterly cold here. Not fit for man or beast. -30 F or -34C eh!
Far Side
Oh, that is cold! I watched a podcast last night, Northern Seclusion, about a guy who is refurbishing a farmhouse outside of Cloquet. I love your flag and I thought for sure you had carved those Santas. The wreath is so pretty with the red lights. Stay warm...I "knead" to make bread today (lol) and wrap and do cards. Christmas is coming!
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of the wreath and I really like the flag. Can't believe you got that cold. That makes our -9F seem warm.
ReplyDeleteWhere the heck do you live that it's that cold?? We were cold yesterday but it was +19F....with wind, so even colder, but nothing like -30F!! I love the santas, I think I have a wooden tree ornament like the one on the left...I haven't put the tree up in several years, but I remember one like that. Maybe I'll do the tree this year.

DeleteIsn't that Minnesnowta?
Deleteyes or Minnefreezeyourbuttoffota:)
DeleteNow that is cold. I'm glad it's warming up from that awful winter's blast. It is, isn't it? I hope so.
ReplyDeleteWow, it gets cold here, especially with the wind off the ocean and howling around our old house but nothing compared to where you live!! The wreath is lovely in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteBRRRR! You've had it much colder than we have. I like your simple wreathe too.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cold! It's starting to warm up slightly here, only -19C (-2F) so hopefully it arrives there for you as well.
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of the wreath too, and love the flag!
Do NOT send that cold air southwest!
ReplyDeleteI like your new flag and those Santas look great on the wreath! You really do have some cold weather there. I hope you don't have to get out!
ReplyDeleteYup--really cold. I like the flag and wreath.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe!! :)
Brrrr Brrrr Brrrr
ReplyDeleteBummer sorry it is so cold but as with you I find that the cold does indeed get me back to some crafting that I haven't done. Okay not always really depends on how much life work sucks out of me. :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Now that IS cold! I had no idea it was so cold there already. I won't complain about the cold here because it's nothing like that. I do love your sweet wreath. The Santa's are perfect. Having seen an up close example of your beautiful work, I'm so impressed by your attention to detail. Like Sam, I was sure I would read that Far Guy had carved and you painted them. :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Oh, wow...that is cold. I'm complaining about it being in the 20's today. That must be like summer for you folks up north.
ReplyDeleteSending warm thoughts....
We didn't go outside yesterday. But I guess I did take an emergency trip to the grocery store. Got some more food to eat including marshmallows that tasted like pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteI like your simple Santa wreath. It’s too early for -30F.
ReplyDeleteThat is ridiculously cold, and it's not even officially winter yet. Brrrr.
ReplyDeleteNice flag indeed and the wreath is lovely
ReplyDeleteOh my! You have been plunged into the dead of winter. Brrr.
ReplyDeleteminus 34 C is really , really cold. We've had a couple of minus 20's and that's not bad.
ReplyDeleteNice flag with the Christmassy Goose. I like the wreath with its lights wound around and the Santas glued (?) on.
ReplyDeleteWired on!
DeleteGlad you're keeping busy with projects while the weather is so darn cold. We have it cold here too....I always think the really freezing temps should wait until January to arrive...but who asked me? Anyway, know that we're sharing your frigid misery! Hope you're ready for Christmas. Blessings to you both!
ReplyDeleteThose temperatures draw a line! I would be huddled inside. I think you were brave to even hang a wreath! Brrrrrr
ReplyDeleteOmg! I hope we don't see that cold for awhile!
ReplyDeleteWOW, THAT IS TOO COLD. I LOVE YOUR FLAG AND WREATH. I HAVE A SNOWMAN FLAG OUT THIS YEAR AND A SNOWMAN ON THE DOOR.
ReplyDeleteThat is just stupid cold! Here we get a little snow, it melts, we get a little more, it melts.... It's hard for our neighbour who bought a plow and sander to fit on a pickup he just bought and now he doesn't have enough work for it. I told him just wait, you'll be busy from January to the end of March!
ReplyDeleteI love the loon flag.
I really like that flag. I don't have any of them anymore. They didn't make the move. It is too cold for me.
