Rainy Day Sunday

It rained off and on all day.  It was a good day for a movie and a nap.

Rain on Rudbeckia

Rudbeckia in the rain

I worked inside on woodcarving Christmas Ornaments. 26 are completely done.  The rain held us hostage in the house most of the day.

Chance is very depressed, he laid outside in the rain for quite a while.  He misses his friends.  It always takes him a day or three to get over their visit and be content with his two old fogies.

  1. Your rain from Sunday is head our way now. After company leaves it is always a let down so I know how Chance feels. Naps are a necessity on rainy days.

  2. I feel for Chance. I'm the same after a visit and being left behind. We got a teeny bit of rain yesterday, and it was nice after so many days without any. :-)

  3. I would imagine the humans were a bit down-in-the-mouth too. :) Company, especially the good variety, is always so hard to let go. Have a wonderful week, friend. Love~ Andrea xoxo

  6. We could use little August rain or perhaps I should say the soybeans do. On the other hand the corn is taller and fuller than any of us old timers have ever seen. :)

  8. I feel bad for Chance missing his friends...and waiting for them in the rain. You are moving right along on the carvings!

  10. They keep predicting rain here but I think the lake sucks the moisture out of the clouds because it disappears once it gets over us. It's thundering now and finally raining....great, as I don't have to water! LOL! I'm not taking naps yet but I do get tired in the afternoon about 3:00 p.m.....I may be headed in that direction!

  11. It must be hard to have a family pack and then it leaves on him. Barney gets droopy when I leave to go work on the house. He knows all the family isn't around. He has always followed me around the house so he waits by the door.

  12. Seriously, how old are you Connie? I don't believe you're a fogie.
I watched the Philadelphia Story on Sunday. Hadn't seen it for ages. I love the line "where's my wandering parakeet?" and what a great name C K Dexter Haven is.
