Saturday was a beautiful day..over fifty degrees and no wind..perfect day to visit a friend and her horses.
My Husband does not really care for horses..well he does like them on a Merry Go Round..that is about it.
Here he is swarmed by horses.
This one wanted to eat him alive..or gum him to death. She even felt his head with her lips. I was laughing so hard I didn’t get THAT photo. You may wonder why Far Guy is kneeling on the ground. The horses were a bit aggressive..Shirley is on crutches and they toppled her over..she was fine..just resting before she got up…all the horses came to check on her..and to say hi to Far Guy.
I stayed on the right side of the fence:)
Lovely horses and gorgeous weather. That is too funny about the horse kissing FG!!!!! Hope you enjoy a restful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love your last photo of the horses, I am on Far Guy's side as far as horses go. I can't believe he got that close, I would have been panicking.
ReplyDeleteThey are a curious animal even though they seem to be so large. I am glad the one on the ground is ok. I sometimes think they are like oversized dogs as they nudge things and people. I had a bunch of fallen apples you could have fed them. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteOh, that was funny! I don't think I would be on the side of the fence with those horses! :-)
ReplyDeleteEven though I've lived with horses for the past 40 years, I wouldn't be in the mix of a group of horses that I didn't know. If they don't respect your space and then start milling around when one decides to show the rest that he is the boss, it can be trouble.
ReplyDeleteConsidering Far Guy doesn't like horses, he is brave (or foolish?) to be in with them:)
Maybe that was the first time the mare had seen a bald guy!
This is what I know about horses: one end kicks and the other end bites. Far Guy is a brave man! Enjoy your Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMuch as I love them, there is no way I would be in there..I've had a few close encounters, lol...
ReplyDeleteJen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
Far Guy was very brave to get in there with the horses.
ReplyDeleteI would be right in there with them all day ! I love horses was raised with them and so miss them ! Wonderful photos . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteSo do you kiss lips that may have been kissed by horse lips? I use that line on my wife when she been roughhousing with Baron....:)
ReplyDeleteTerry says he so understands....He has never met a horse that like him. Now CARS, that's another story. :)

Yes , the photographer must stay on the outside of the fence. Must confess I'm not big about horses.
ReplyDeleteBravo to Far Guy! What a nice man....
ReplyDeleteI think horses are beautiful, but I haven't been around them in years. My daughter lives in horse country, and she wants our little grandson to start riding lessons when he's three.
ReplyDeletePeace,
Muff
Animals seem to enjoy picking on people who don't care for them.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Well, at least it was good for a laugh, but I'm with you: the other side of the fence is the right side for me, too!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why FarGuy would be right there in with the horses if he doesn't really like them...unless he was hoping to give them his cold--LOL! That horse looks like he is eating the clothes right off of him! I am fascinated by horses but have rarely ever been around them. They are so big that I think I'd be nervous to be in there with several of them at once. FarGuy is a brave man! :)
ReplyDelete:-)
ReplyDeleteThat last one is listening to you.
ReplyDeleteI love horses and I am glad your adventure turned out ok.
