Fishing

We got out on the water on Sunday afternoon.  It was peaceful and calm and I could put my feet up and just take photos. We went over to Two Inlets Lake.

The Grand boys love to fish.

Noah was catching fish left and right, he must have had four fish before anyone else got a nibble.

Noahs Fish

Fishing = Big Smiles

Andys Fish

Andy caught a huge Bass.  It caused much excitement!  Now they have a landing net and a scale on their wish list.  Nothing invigorates little boys/big boys more than a big fish.

Adam was trying so hard, he was just feeding the fish, they were stealing his bait.

Adams fish

Finally success!  He was on his last few casts of the day..when he finally caught a fish. ( Big sigh of relief, it is no fun if you are the only one who doesn’t catch a fish…or if your brother seems to do it effortlessly.)

Miney and Elvis inspecting a fish

Far Guy showed Miney and Elvis a little Perch that Noah caught.

There were birds singing in the trees and a pair of Loons were out in the middle of the lake. They sounded their “Eagle alarm” several times. ( Eagles are predators of Loons.) Sure enough an Eagle was fishing too.  It was a cool day, the sun came out for just a little while, the high for the day was about 70 degrees. There were no bugs..it has been too cold for bugs.

The fundraising dinner went off without a hitch.  We could have served just a few more people.  I did not hear the final figures..hopefully they made a little bit of money. My feet were tired along with the rest of me. It was lots of work:)

Great photos. I'm not a fisherperson, but I can understand the disappointment of not catching a fish. Glad he finally did!
Happy that the dinner was a success!

Like I said yesterday, I'm glad that you are not too busy to take us along on your adventures. Your picture of the doggies sniffing the fish is great!

What a nice leisure day to be out on the dock fishing. Kids add such fun energy and a large bass that Andy caught was such a great thing.

Your lupines are looking so pretty. They don't grow well for me. The guys look like they are having such a good time and you as well sitting there taking pics. I would be like the little one not catching fish. That was my story when I was little - everyone caught fish but me. Fun though.

What fun! 'Round here the girls are the fisher-folk or would be if we were indulged. What ever you do with the boys is a grand time isn't it?!

Your fishing day was more successful than ours, but we all had a great time, I see. :)

Our boys have never liked fishing. I don't understand that. Oh well, haha.

Happy Monday to you all, Far Side! :)

Glad everyone caught a fish! Even the dogs were excited--LOL!

I hope the fundraiser did really well after all the hard work. Looks like a wonderfully relaxing day on the lake...except for the eagle scaring the loons. ;)

I'm not a fishing person either, but I am a fish eater person. I love to "go with". I don't do rdies at the Six Flaggs type places, but I'm a great one to have along to hold stuff. I would love to watch my grandsons have that much fun.

You DID have a great Sunday. Praise God for the reward HE gave you for all the hard work on Saturday. Wonderful pictures and great text that combine to give a good story of the day with family.

What fun! Yes us boys can never get enough of fishing. Twin Lakes near Park Rapids was always our vacation destination as a child. Also the North Shore where we then saw miles of wild lupines along Highway 61. The header is just fantastic....
