They came..we enjoyed their company and now they have returned to their homes.
It is quiet here now, Chance doesn’t quite know what to do with himself, all of his favorite people were here…and now they are gone. I took a nap…a long nap…Far Guy too..he is still fighting off the bronchitis.
How many people and dogs can fit on a love seat? This love seat used to be the perfect spot for someone little to sleep..now the someone's who used to be little are way to big and tall. Poor Savannah was stuck there one night..with her legs all curled up or flopped over the end.
My thumb is still pretty useless..and it is still painful. I am putting ice on it and elevating it when it hurts.
As for what we will do the rest of this day..maybe we will oh and ah over the new fallen snow:)
Well, if you don't have enough snow there to look at, I have snow photos on my blog!!!!
Lovely to see the grands and glad everyone could be together. Hope your thumb and Far Guy's bronchitis get better with some more rest. Take care.
Be sure to look at my post last night too as John left you and Far Guy a special photo!
Nice to see them and have time with them and then return to the ritual of your own life. Glad you had a nice time with your family. I hope your thumb gets better soon.
You have beautiful grand's and they look so happy to be there.
Sorry about that poor thumb. Hope it will be better after a rest. And Far Guy too!
Doesn't it amaze you that something small (one finger) on our body can cause so much pain? Praying that both of you get completely well soon. Your naps will definitely aide in the healing process. I am looking forward to retirement in a couple of years so I can work around the house - - on my schedule - - - nap when tired - - - then repeat. That's what I like about vacations at home - - my schedule. Now if a cook would appear - - - it would be even better!
That's a great picture of your Grandkids! I know you all had an awesome time!
Looks like a nice looking group you have there! Today is the day for rest and relaxation. Hope the finger gets better!
Wow, they are quite the handful. The picture of the people & dog pile is fun to look at, but probably not so comfy to be in. I'm hoping your thumb decides it's going to stop hurting now.
I love that you took a nap after they all left...we do the same thing!! haha I usually throw all the sheets into the washer and dryer, we vacuum and then we nap. haha
Quiet is good. We go through spells where the tv stays off and it is really quiet. Take care of that hand. It needs time to heal.
great photos! Your "grands" are adorable!
Hope you and Far Guy are on the road to recovery soon!
I'm so glad you were able to have such a wonderful Christmas Day. I sure hope your thumb is feeling better soon, pain is a, a bugger. By the way, did I mention how much I love my little cabin?! Bet too, she showed it to everyone, one of the marrieds asked who the people were on your Christmas card, Bet and I in unison said it was our friend Connie from Minnesota! If you need more cotton wood bark Dirt would be happy to ship you ours, it just keeps growing sprouts.
It's so much fun when they are there, but I bet you both could use some rest time. Hope Far Guy is better soon and that your poor thumb heals up. Looks like you all had a wonderful time--sounds like maybe Chance most of all--hehe! ;)
What a wonderful time with the grandies! Hope your thumb stops being a pain in the hand!
Rest, relax and enjoy the silence...
What a wonderful celebration...love those smiles.
Lovely grands! Aren't they fun to have and isn't it fun to have them GONE so you can nap? That's pretty much first on my list after everyone leaves here....
Stopping by with a link to Donnie's blog with a fabulous train display for Far Guy:
