Almost three

Almost three year olds can be a challenge.

I had a conversation with Peach.  Her favorite person in the whole world is Jen...the rest of us are chopped liver. ( Jen took daytime care of her from the time she was born until she was about three months old and daycare had an opening for her)

However she likes a song I play for her "Corrina, Corrina" by Ray Peterson and oldie but a goodie.  We all call her Peach but her given name is Karina.  She always wants to hold my phone and usually walks around with the phone on her head...no idea why?  Usually she messes up the song and boy can those little fingers swipe right and left and up and down just like that.

Anyways we were putting together large wooden puzzles pieces of a elephant, a moose and a bird.  The does so...does not began...she was putting her hand on her hip and making faces...apparently I said does so a little loud.

Peach said "You screamed at me!"

What a turd.

ONE!!

Our youngest Great Grandchild turned one year old yesterday!

What a cutie!   She had a party yesterday but we did not attend.  Jen took a photo and shared it with me!

At one year old she finally has a few teeth, she is crawling but not walking. She is not talking very much.  She still has a short fuse as in no patience when she is hungry, thirsty or tired...she pitches a fit and you are left to figure it out!  FYI  none of her siblings were like that so she is uniquely herself.

Happy Birthday Baby K!  We love you!

6

Cee Cee is 6 years old.  We celebrated her properly with a great supper...mac and cheese, pulled pork on buns, coleslaw...and birthday cake!

The candles relit but she was a trooper and kept blowing them out!

Hard to believe she is six years old!

Welcome Baby K

On Friday evening our newest Great Granddaughter was born.  She was a May baby instead of a June baby.  She and her Mom are both doing well.

I got to visit her via facetime shortly after she was born.

She is a blessing!  We are looking forward to holding her soon!
She is the fourth child for our Granddaughter Maddie and her husband Brenton.

How about that...we are Great again!

Preschool Milestone

The smile says it all.   Preschool is behind our oldest Great Granddaughter Cee Cee...onward and forward to Kindergarten in the Fall.

Photos by Maddie.

What a great graduation cap!

Cee Cee will be a big sister again this Summer before going off to full day Kindergarten in the Fall.

Do you recall...back in the day?  Kindergarten was either mornings or afternoons every day or sometimes on a Full Day M W F one week and T Th the next week it was hard to keep track of.

Congratulations Cee Cee you made it!

Matching Valentines!

Maddie sent photos of the girls all dressed up for Valentine's Day at daycare.

I found the dresses on sale...no doubt they were supposed to be Christmas dresses but hey they are red and have a bit of sparkle in the skirts.

Peach 20 months old

Cee Cee just one month shy of her 5th birthday

I think our Great Grandgirls are just as cute as can be! I have Valentine's bags for them...but we hear Cee Cee has strep throat so it will have to wait until she is all better!

Far Guy says Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

Sitting pretty

Peach drove me nuts climbing up on the bench by the dining room table...the floor is tile and if she fell off backwards it would really hurt.

Then she found out she could sit by the fireplace all by herself.

She loves sitting next to her favorite person in the whole world...and cried real tears when it was time to say goodbye to Auntie Jen.

When you are little you can make your own spot to sit.
My yarn bowl turned upside down makes a good place to sit if you have a little butt!

Goodbye to November and Hello December.  Doesn't seem like it should be December this soon.

The Greats

Our Great Grandchildren are GREAT. Here are some recent photos of them at the wedding.  They are growing like little weeds.  They all belong to our Granddaughter Maddie and her husband Brenton.

Hey Mikey!

Cee Cee calling for her brother.

It was difficult waiting around for photographs.  Uncle Andy was explaining about patience and how it is hard sometimes but we don't get everything we want.

Jen and Peach

After the photographs the children went back to the motel with their babysitter.  It was a hard day for them being away from their Mom as she was busy being a Matron of Honor.

Wheels

Our oldest Great Grandson rides a dirt bike and a quad.  He was in age appropriate races at a County Fair.  Yes he wears a helmet too!

Here he is with his youngest sister Peach.

Peach is all smiles with a little help from her brother to keep moving!

Peach

Ree has a new nickname that has stuck.  Peach is what everyone is calling her so me too!

She has seen us enough over the Winter that she no longer has stranger danger.  She is on the move now as she is creeping.  Easter Sunday she entertained us!

Peach is learning new things everyday!  It won't be long before she is pulling herself up on furniture.

Far Guy had a little set back after we got home...too much activity. So he has slowed down and feels a bit better...I think.  At any rate I am keeping an eagle eye on him.

The little girls

Maddie visited the other day with the children.   Everyone is growing up!

Sisters

Ree is really growing.

She has six teeth now and is getting a few more teeth.  Her Mom called her Miss Crabby Pants but she was perfectly fine when she was here.  She has a wonderful giggle and belly laugh that ends in a snort.

Far Guy is holding his own for now.

We have snow in the air but it is not staying on the ground for now, we are in a Winter Storm Watch until Tuesday morning.

Little Valentines

We had belated Valentines here one evening as the Great Grandchildren needed a babysitter or two when their parents went out to a company party.

I had Valentines gifts for them that I bought a few weeks ago. Gotta love the dollar store that is now a dollar twenty five.

Ree was having a bit of stranger danger.  Her Mom calls her Peach.

Cee Cee

Big smiles from Cee Cee and Hey Mikey.

They had a fun night, Cee Cee  ate all her brothers valentine candy and put hers in the fridge for the next time she visits.  They played video games and had snacks.

Bass Sticks

When you are almost four years old you get to go to Jim Naah Sticks....or bass sticks... or Jim bass sticks one and the same to the almost four year old.

I got to go along to bass sticks.

When you are sited (excited) you can run really fast!

Trying to walk along a beam.

Many children hollering "teacher" all at once!  Cee Cee had fun!

Sitting Up

Ree is learning how to sit up by herself.   Soon she will not be a baby anymore.

She looks so serious....part of the teething process.

She is a well loved child.  She is just a few days shy of seven months old.

Greats

Our Great Grandchildren or "Greats" were here on Monday morning, their school and day care were closed due to the holiday yesterday and their Mommy had to work part of the day.  Thankfully Jen and Andy had the day off.  Andy made them bacon and French toast for breakfast and for lunch hot dogs and mac and cheese.

They can sure liven things up around here.

Hey Mikey snd Cee Cee did a fair amount of goofing off during their photo session with me.

Hey Mikey with Ree...she is working on getting some teeth.  She is very entertained by her siblings.

After they left I had a long nap.

Cutest Baby Ever!

Our Great Granddaughter Ree is such a happy child.  She has found her voice and a big smile.

Ree lights up our lives!

I got to see her twice this week. For Christmas photos one evening and then again the next evening when we were all cleaning at Andy and Jen's rental.

Baptism

Our newest Great Granddaughter  Ree ( aka Peach) was baptized on Sunday.

Isn't she a beauty!

Maddie and Ree (Peach)

The family photo.

Ree  (Peach) was happy to be held by her Great Grandpa!

She is immediately calmed by her Great Auntie Jen.

The baptismal gown was made out of my wedding dress and worn by all three of our Great Grandchildren.

Romans 6: 3-4

Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?  We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
