Progress is slow

I washed a window today and Far Guy did one more...maybe tomorrow we can get another one done.  We are slow but steady.

This afghan is still in my work basket...I have been working on it off and on...mostly off... for a year.  The Fall like colors should inspire me!

The deer hunters around here were quiet...I didn't hear any shots.  It spit rain here when I was washing that window on the outside. It was not cold enough to snow.

  1. Deer season is open here as well. I am hearing a few shots, but not a lot.

  2. Good Sunday Morning...Washing windows is a huge task but like you and Far Guy, I would most likely need to do a little at a time. The colors you selected for the afghan are so pretty. You will be proud when this work in progress is finished. We had rain here as well...I think this is maybe 5 days of rain for us but I certainly am not going to complain because we have needed it so bad.

  3. Those colors are so Fall like and beautiful!
The bow hunters were out and about here for their last weekend before the gun season opens here.

  5. We has drizzle on and off yesterday. It rained overnight and is overcast this morning. I did some window washing yesterday, too. The afghan looks lovely.

  6. The colors in that afghan are beautiful. Pretty pattern too I'm an "earth" color kinda gal. Sounds like you might be glad when you finally finish the blanket. Linda, imageisee.blogspot.com

  7. Progress is progress! I was surprised to go outside with Zoey last night and find it pouring again. I didn't know it was supposed to rain! The grass is greener than it's been since spring.
    Blessings and hugs,

  8. Those are beautiful fall colors!
I have to do things a little at a time, too.
Takes longer, but I am grateful I can still get things done.
Enjoy the warm fall weather. :)

  9. There is something about the cooling weather and the short days that have me feeling as if I'd like to hibernate. Slow and steady is a better way to go. :)

  10. Hubs and I are really laid low with the cold so not much of anything getting done around here right now. I'm knitting a plain vanilla sock, which doesn't need any thinking. The moose hats will have to wait for a day when I have the ability to actually concentrate. I think I'm going to have to hire someone to wash the outside of my windows.

  11. Not sure when gun season starts here but the bucks are getting pretty brazen. I had an 8 point buck within about 10 feet of my living room window yesterday and again a few days before that. The first one I have seen in months outside of my trail camera which spots them at night.

  13. Step by step, you're accomplishing a lot this way. I also love the colors of your afghan – they’re actually my favorite colors!

  18. It's good to have a project you can pick up any time, one window at a time or one row of stitching at a time.

  19. Ugh, I do not like washing windows and that chore is usually put at the bottom of my list. No gun shots heard here also, just a matter of time though I am sure.
