New Toy

I enjoyed using Jen's die cutter so much, I ordered myself one...mine is smaller than hers.

It is a Spellbinder Platinum 6, it cuts very intricate dies.

I am having fun playing with designs for cards.

I got the desk partially straightened up....only to begin another project!

My astrid has a cricket thing. She uses it to make designs and letters. Is it similar?

I just got a card that my son and his wife put together, it was cut like that but in the shape of an intricate old oak tree. It was really quite beautiful.

Those are amazing. If I ever got started with that, I may never stop!

You have such a zest for life and creativity! If you were to live another hundred years, you would not run out of fun projects.

That sure does look like fun. I'm impressed with how intricate that "daisy" design is.

Galla Creek, A Cricket is similar but more complicated! Jen has a Cricut also...she sets up her computer to tell it what to do:)

There is always another project. My daughter and I bought a cricut, it's at her house and she's been figuring out how to use it. Maybe, some day, I'll have a crack at it.

I think that for a a person who makes a lot of cards and such ...like you do.. will get a lot of use out of the die cutter, and a lot of fun too. Happy creating!!

This looks very interesting. I've seen them in stores, but I don't know anyone who has one. I bet it would be very easy to get addicted to it.

Die cutting is so much fun! Putzie when it comes to getting all those tiny pieces poked out of the intricate ones and gluing those down can be challenging...but sooo worth it! They are so pretty and dramatic looking, I think. You will love your new toy! :)

I love die cutting and have looked into purchasing die cut machines over the years. There are sooo many options! Too many. I can never decide which one would fit me best. The reality is none. I wouldn't use one enough to justify the purchase prices. I just keep using my old fashion hand versions.

You on the other hand will put yours to good use. Enjoy!

That looks like a lot of fun. Computerized die cutting has come a long way. I saw one that cut metals at a high school and they are amazing. I don't quite understand how yours works but the results are wonderful.

That is pretty neat! You will make some beautiful cards with that!

Glad you're having fun with your new toy.

I got my desk all tidied up the other day too. You wouldn't know it to look at it now though, since I started a new project in needle knitting class yesterday. Because, you know, I don't already have enough projects on the go.
