S words

Snow... we still have lots of it and more is on the way this week.  Something to look forward to.   Some of the forecasted snow totals are downright scary.

Swans, Canada Geese and Sandhill Cranes all sharing a water hole in a corn field.  There is hardly any snow 10 miles west of our house.

Steri Strips suck and my hand still hurts.  It doesn't burn as much as it did...but I still have to be careful.  Far Guy is stuck doing the dishes...so I cooked last night...ribs, baked potato and corn.

I can crochet for short periods of time, I am watching Bridgerton and enjoying it!  Far Guy and I are watching Better Call Saul at night....it is different.

June.

Winter is here to stay! Although it's going to be 77 today with a wind warning but that's because severe storms are coming tomorrow and Tuesday. I still have to run the heater at night and night before last we were below freezing. I'm sorry your hand is still hurting but glad you can crochet a little anyway plus not having to do dishes is a plus! LOL!

We gave up on Better Call Saul. I hope your hand continues to heal up nicely. You still have quite a bit of snow!
Love the swans and geese photo.
OH and June is Huge!

Yes, you certainly have more snow than we do here. June is looking like she plans to stay for awhile.

Your hand issues don't sound very pleasant, though getting out of doing dishes would be okay by me. Here's hoping it heals up quickly.

When I had my carpal tunnel surgery some years ago, I was quite nervous when I had my stitches out, thinking my incision would just pop open. I appreciated the steri strips as a back up. The pain was a long time companion but it eventually went away. Tom's hand surgery is healing well. He still has stiffness and tenderness in his incision sites, but the bigger issue is that the PT he is supposed to do makes his arthritis hut worse. Always something when we get old.
Tell June I said to stop growing!

The one good thing about having those stitches out already is that you can't do the dishes. I'd much rather cook than clean up. :-)

I think Winter got stuck in place this year. I'm thinking we will go from Winter to Summer and miss Spring completely.

Oh no! Noooo more snooooow! We had a record 35 degrees here last night and I was glad to be home and not camping. Crazy weather.

Yes, I heard about all the snow and bad weather headed your way. Stay safe.

Our spring migrants seem to be very hardy.

Take it easy, so your hand starts to feel better. You guys still have a lot of snow, and more on the way? Wow. Hopefully it starts to melt.

On Friday the prediction for next week was snow and rain, which we need. Now the prediction is just more wind and cold. Makes me feel sad. I hope your hand begins to feel better soon. It must be very frustrating for you to be limited in what you can do - although maybe NOT having to do the dishes is OK.

Oh gosh, you must get tired of seeing June the snow bank. :) and more snow on the way! Hope you hand feels better soon.

We're going camping this week and the prediction is mid-80's the first day and 40's the next. You know what that means. They're saying nocturnal tornadoes. Oh goody. We're going anyway. You can't live in fear and we need a practice trip away so my backup shot-giver can practice before our London trip to see the baby.
June needs a good weight-loss plan! :-) Winter doesn't seem to want to say goodby this year does it?
I'm really sorry about your hand. I know how frustrating it must be when you're used to doing a lot. Enjoy your own personal dishwasher while you can.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

I think it is time for all your snow to just move along out of your yard and town. I know you live 'up north' but enough is enough! We are currently getting big thunder booms and lightening, and some hail...and now it is pouring rain, all since 5 this morning. Katie and I were outside when the first lightening struck, somewhere to the south of us. Made us both jump (and she's DEAF!) Now she's attached to me for the duration. Little girl wants to stay in the bathroom. She might have a point.

Be careful with your hand--yes!
More snow coming? I have really been out of it and not keeping up with the weather. Thanks for the heads up. Sometimes it misses us over here, though. Stay warm!

Good thing you have Far Guy to help you out with the dishes. And snow and swans are good S words.
