It snowed, by the time we went to town for Far Guy's infusion the roads were okay, he dropped me off at my parents. I walked Dad down the hallways, he needs to keep up with physical activity. He was doing pretty good.
We ran a few errands in town. Dropped off some old medications at the Sheriffs office and went by the grocery store to get some fresh fruit. On the way home the roads were wet and there were some snow tornados out on the fields when the wind came up.

I pulled the remaining stitch that was in my thumb. It looks much better now and feels somewhat better too.
I felt like I should turn in my services to an Insurance Company for reimbursement. My thumb doesn't like doing certain things...pushing or gripping movements...it all takes time. I told Far Guy that he was most likely in charge of wood carving the Christmas ornaments this year....we will see. At the end of a day my thumb protests all the movements during the day...

Twas a dreary day here in Minnesota. Today is Tax Day and Good Friday all rolled into one. Half the month is gone and it seems more like March than April.

Glad the roads were okay for your drive into town and that you were able to visit with your folks. Thumb is looking good, hope it heals faster now. had really high winds here yesterday; almost blew hubby off the road. Have a Blessed Good Friday and Easter weekend.
I think my guess is no longer in the running anymore.
It does feel like March doesn't it? Though after the rains this past week, I see green grass and weeds starting to green up!
Hopefully things will turn around for you with the weather.

That's an amazing amount of snow for the middle of April! We are cold here but nothing like that. Weird weather.
We had days in March that felt like June (upper 70s), so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that April is feeling like March. What a weird winter we've had. I'm glad you were able to remove that lingering stitch yourself, and hopefully that will speed up the healing.
I knew you would take out that stitch! Pioneer stock is what you are! Glad you were able to get to town and that you can visit your folks. I have a finger that is bothering me with arthritis lately...more adventures in aging!
From news reports there was danger from the storm you had.
I bet getting that last stitch out helps the thumb feel somewhat better. Hopefully the movements will get less bothersome over time.
Yikes, more snow? We had 10 cms (4"), and that is more than enough for me.
Was a busy day. You guys got a lot done. I have no doubt your thumb will complain for a while yet but I'm so glad you have the surgery behind you. :)

I was going to suggest pulling the stitch yourself. I totally would pull a remaining stitch myself. Hope your hand heals better each & every day!! It has been weird weather this Spring.

I’m happy you were able to remove the troublesome stitch. It’s been terribly cold and windy the last two weeks. I was thinking yesterday it felt like February.

I have memories on FB that show flowers in my yard on this date some years. This year nothing much is blooming yet. And it's still cold. Glad your thumb is getting better. Ouch!

Glad your thumb is starting to heal. It is hard to be patient. I was totally blown away by the amount of time required to heal from my hand surgeries. My doctor actually scheduled them two weeks apart. I was thinking I would at least have some use of hand one by the time we mobilized hand two. I was so naïve. I think I was home from work at least six weeks after the second surgery and to this day over 10 years later I can't hand quilt or cut pieces for very long at a time without my hands freezing and aching. I am not sure I would have even had the surgeries if I knew the outcome. I would have just continued to beg for those cortisone shots in the palms of my hands.
Good to hear you feel your thumb is finally on the mend. Amazing how such a small part of the body can affect us so much - we use our thumbs so many times a day and never think about it.

Thank goodness you pulled that stitch out... I was hoping you'd have the gumption to go ahead and do it. I had to remove three myself from my knee that just never absorbed like they were supposed to... irritated the heck outta me and man did they itch! Such relief to yank them out. Glad your thumb is healing. I cannot imagine not being able to carve your ornaments as much as you love doing that. We haven't had any more snow, but I'm sooooo tired of the non-stop winds that have been going on for days on end... anywhere from 25-50 mph depending on the day. Ugh. It's making the temps feel so much colder than they read on the thermometer. Such a long winter, huh. And you still have that white stuff in the way. Shoo, snow, shoo!! So glad to know your parents are settling in, also... changes are hard as we age after being used to our ways. Sending you lots hugs and many blessings, my friend!
Lordy, Connie, that sure is a whole lot of snow. Course, I'm not telling you something you don't already know, am I. We got some snow during the night last night but nothing I would call "deep".
