Yes we got more snow and it is still snowing. We made it to Far Guy's Doctors appointment. He most likely has Pleurisy...which is inflamed tissue between the lungs and the chest wall. Ice and large doses of Ibuprofen should help it resolve...if not they will do some scans next week.
I had lab work done and all blood tests are just perfect....much like me.
My baby brother and I picked up Mom and went to see Dad in the afternoon...Dad wanted to go home with us. He is walking just fine with his walker. He was confused. There is a Care Conference scheduled that my brothers will attend.

I have had pleurisy. I was in my 40’s. Every breath hurt. Poor Far Guy. Well wishes.
No snow here again yesterday. Just rain/ rain and more rain. Sure hope we don't burn out the sump pump motor. Hope all turns out with both Far Guy and your dad.
Hope Far Guys new (?) condition resolves itself. Sorry about the additional snow. It has to stop eventually, right?!
I know the desire to go home is really strong for your dad. It is so hard to be in an unfamiliar place. Maybe the Care Conference will go well and he can go home? Perhaps with added help? I don't know the solution to that.
Pleurisy is a tough one. I sure hope the treatment for inflammation helps.

Seeing that much snow just made me cringe! We had a bit of snow today but mostly it's blowing horizontally with the 40 mph winds. And cold!
We don't have snow here but my heater is still running! So sorry to hear about Far Guy. I remember my Dad had pleurisy once and had to have a heat lamp of some kind positioned to shine on his chest. I hope he recovers soon. Glad your blood work was "perfect like you"...lol! Glad that your Mom was able to visit your Dad and glad he is doing so well. Hopefully he will be home soon. Poor Far Guy. That has to hurt. Down here in the Twin Cities it's been rain. It's miserable. You bed sounds fantastic to me!
Pleurisy is no fun. Both of my parents had it when they were alive and each breath hurt. He is in my my prayers. I think your new bed sounds like a dream. Zero gravity is perfect.
I sure hope your Dad gets to go home soon. I'm sure your Mom misses him as much as he misses being home. There's no place like home.
We're supposed to have flurries today but nothing like your massive snow. Thank goodness.

Poor Far Guy. I once had a really bad cold and I convinced myself I had pleurisy (don't google your symptoms!!!). It turns out I just had a pulled muscle by my ribs from coughing so hard.
Oh dear, poor Far Guy. He can't seem to catch a break. Too bad you can't share your perfectness with him. :) Hopefully the treatments work and he'll be over it soon.

Your dad. It has to be so hard on him (and everyone else) when he is confused. Do you think he will make it back home? I know they want to be assured that he will be safe and not wander off. So hard.
And FarGuy! Nothing like adding on something else--OMG! Back in the 80s when I still smoked I got this really weird inflammation in the cartilage of my entire ribcage. That's the first I heard of pleurisy because they said it was similar and thought that is what I had at first. There was nothing I could take for it. Was viral, apparently. It lasted 4-5 months and I had it a total of four different times in five years! I had it once more a few years after I quit smoking in 1989...must have been about 2002 when my health was going down the toilet for other reasons--LOL! Didn't last as long that time--three months or so.
I had to google it right now because I never could remember the name of it. Costochondritis. It would start as a sideache for me and spread over the next month or so till it was the entire ribcage from top to bottom and front to back. Hurt to breathe. Worst for me--hurt to laugh!! Let alone cough or sneeze. Took another month or so to subside--so the worst of it was a month or two.
So hard to to get comfortable--or to breathe--let alone to sleep. Your new adjustable bed should really help a lot! I had to sleep in a chair. At the peak I couldn't lift the coffee pot--barely a coffee cup. Looking back I don't know how I endured it but somehow I did. Was living out in the country taking care of the place and the critters and Dagan was just old enough to be able to help himself and even me a lot during the worst part of it. The first time I think he was about nine maybe.
Was living with a guy who was out of town for his job 3 out of 4 weeks so Dag and I were on our own most of the time and were just fine. Dagan and I loved the land, cats, and dogs. But getting this crud was really rough. I wouldn't wish anything like it on anybody. I really hope antibiotics or something can help him and shorten the time he has to deal with it. I don't know about actual pleurisy.
Sorry--brought back "other lifetime" memories. You've been getting more snow than we have here, that's for sure. But we have had terrible winds. Whew! With a bit of snow spitting, too. It will be hot enough sooner than he think. *love and hugs*

There is not a positive thing that can be said about the continuous snow. Spring needs to spring.
That's no fun for Far Guy. Hope he's doing better by now.
