ReplyDeleteI loved showing chickens at the county fair :-).
ReplyDeleteWhat a good looking group of children. The chickens are beauties too.
ReplyDeleteI love watching chickens.Congrats to them.
Congratulations to Olivia for her Grand Champions and Congratulations to Hailey for getting a blue ribbon in showmanship. She must know a lot about chickens and how to handle them. Congratulations to all for being in 4-H. Long ago I was a 4-H leader for my daughter's sewing group. Later she was in a rabbit group. And when her children were young, she was an assistant advisor for their dog group. The ribbons are wonderful but I think what the
ReplyDeletechildren learn during the year is most important, useful for the rest of their lives.
Those are cute children and I bet they are really good children too! Love the names of their hens.
ReplyDeleteWell done to them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great experience for kids to have.I learned some things about chickens from your post so i'm sure the kids have learned much more about chickens.
ReplyDeleteI was a 4-H advisor for many years. It is such a great opportunity for children and their families. Congratulations on a great year at the fair! And lucky you to be able to purchase farm fresh eggs from such adorable vendors.
ReplyDelete4-H is a wonderful program for kids. I was a member for many years. Congratulations to Olivia and her sisters for their success.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Hailey and Olivia! Well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of the children and their chickens. I am so proud of them and I know you enjoy the fresh eggs. Blessings to you and FG this weekend.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your grand nieces! I was never in 4H but I know the program is a great one for young people with an emphasis not only on agriculture but so much more.
ReplyDeleteFarm eggs are the best! Your nieces must be very proud of those ribbons. (I’m sure the hens are, too!)
ReplyDeleteThe kids are cute and learning so much through 4-H. That is such a good organization and you don't hear as much about it anymore.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Congratulations to Olivia and Hailey. That is awesome. 4-H is so good for kids. I think a lot is learned there. I love going to the fair and seeing the kids and their animals. I spend more time in those barns than in the needlework area and that's saying something!
ReplyDeleteI know they are so proud of their hens too. Tell them congrats from all of us.
Blessings,
Betsy
I love going to fairs and seeing the people show their chickens and livestock, etc. Congratulations to your Olivia and Hailey on their superb showing as Grand Champion and Blue Ribbon! How awesome! How fun for you to see how well they did. All the chickens look beautiful and well cared-for. A great showing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the cute kids for their projects!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely hens with the prettiest names too. Congratulations to the children.
ReplyDeleteThat takes me back to my childhood days on the farm and county fairs. We raised chickens, but for meat and eggs, not as 4H projects. I did with a blue ribbon for my cookies in 4H though.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the children, a job well done. rewards like this encourages children to do more projects, and it teaches them many lessons in life. Fresh eggs are the best, I do enjoy mine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
That is so good for children to do and you also get fresh eggs. Our oldest grandson suddenly became interested in how things grow. He is taking care of a bean that has grown up outside where he planted it. We all had to go out and see his bean and watch him water it with all seriousness.
