Far Guy and I went for a ride after supper.
The new road is coming along. The 2nd mile is one lane with sand on the edges...many people will get stuck over the weekend.
We had my baby brothers Gator...we would not go in the car. Stopped and talked to my cousin a bit at quitting time. They work long hours.
We took a trail along the bean field to get to where the work was being done. The moon was out.
It was a nice ride and the perfect evening for an outing. It was quite warm yesterday 84 F but cooled off toward evening.
We had carving company yesterday our friend Sheila joined us on the patio to wood carve and talk about projects.
Far Side
Sounds like a pleasant day.
ReplyDeleteIt ended up being quite nice yesterday evening. This morning was cool too, but it is already turning into a sticky day. A good day for Rich to stay inside.
ReplyDeleteThat road looks pretty intimidating right now!
Nice way to end the day. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteDays like that are so welcome
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to explore in early evening when the earth is warm and the air is cooling.
ReplyDeleteIt's always interesting to watch the land change during new constructions. I like to imagine what any one particular area of land has been over the past few hundred years. I would love to time travel just to see the changes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun outing. I hope your road is finished by winter. I think it's fun that you get to visit with your cousin after work too. I would love to have family close by for a impromptu chat.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Glad you two were able to get out and see the road work, and visit with family. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat finished highway will be so nice but it takes so long for it to be built. A gator would be fun to ride on to see the world up and down your road.
ReplyDeleteHopefully that will be a nice road once finished!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice evening ride. Wasn't the moon lovely last night?
ReplyDeleteWhile you went for an evening ride, we went for an evening walk. It was a beautiful evening here too.
ReplyDeleteRides give topics for blog posts.
ReplyDelete:) It was nice seeing you two out and about! It was a beautiful evening, we headed home and finished up some things in the yard.
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of a Gator before, well not the kind you were riding. I think we need a photo! It sounds fun and such a pretty evening to be out and about.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have low 80s for temps... we've had mid- to upper-90s lately with "feels like" temps in the 100s. This week starts the actual temps in the 100s with "feels like" temps being dangerous. Most of us Kansans are hibernating in the air-conditioning. Whew! I also would love to see a photo of your Gator! Hope your road is finished soon! ♥
ReplyDeleteIt's been nice here too and I've been able to work outside quite a bit. No humidity but I guess that is going to change drastically after Barry comes through. Love your pictures and the wide open spaces...reminds me of home.
