Finally a Robin and other birds

Spring might be here!

We finally had one lousy Robin high in one of the Oak trees singing it’s heart out last evening.

This not so great photo is the proof!

Earlier in the evening we were at the neighbors where Robins have been hanging around for days.

We also watched a Bluebird.

Along our nightly route we saw a Hawk and then Turkey Vultures devouring a Raccoon carcass.  No deer but our ride may have been a tad early for them.

We had a beautiful day, it was about 58F or 14C eh!  Far Guy was busy all day long with outside projects.  I Spring Cleaned the Dining Room, it would have been done before but my Cook Book Collection required some extra cleaning reading.

How wonderful when the birds come back! Be sure to keep the cats away. They are also aware when this happens in the spring!

The first robin! My mom always baked a special pie from fruit specially frozen for the occasion the past summer (usually peach) to celebrate.

Do glad the robins arrived safely! I have a great singing songbird in one of my trees but I'll be dipped if I can see it even with zoom lense. He sings his little heart out and he has quite a variety of tunes too! LOL! Oh, I love bluebirds and robins!

I am jealous of the bluebird. I know they are out there but they don't come into town.

That is the problem with spring cleaning...getting caught up in reading or looking at pictures!! We have had robins for a few weeks here in Kansas!

You finally spotted a robin! That's great. I think you ar following the 'rules' of spring cleaning. We have to stop and read the cookbooks and look through photos, and watch for robins, etc. It'll get done when it gets done. I'm trying to spot a Sandhill Crane. I've seen them two years in a row in the same spot near a nearby lake. Nothing so far, but the watching is fun.

Lots of robins here but I expect most of them will move north and some very far north to the Arctic coast.

A Robin, a Bluebird, a Hawk and a Turkey Vulture!!! I'm quite jealous. I thought we had a Robin building a nest in the back yard but now I don't see him ( or her) so not sure if they're still around. Hope you have a long string of beautiful days!!!

What a gorgeous day you had. Love the robins and blue birds. I like to "read" my cookbook collection, too!
