Chance: Watery Day

We all had a water filled day yesterday.  It was hot.  It was 94 degrees.  ( 34 degrees C)

We stopped to feed some ducks.

Stopping to feed the ducks

Adam and Noah threw bread into the water.

They named this one Einstein.

Einstein

Miney and I played water games.

Miney and Chance Cass Lake July 22

It was a good day at the lake.  There were lots of dogs at the lake.  I was well behaved and listened…and I was friendly to everyone. One time a huge intact (whatever that means) Golden Lab ran right up to me…Far Side hollered “Everyone behave..or else.”   The “or else” most likely meant getting back on the pontoon or getting the leash on…both of which limit your watery activity.

Happy Wet dog

At the end of the day I was a happy wet tired dog.  I slept all the way home:)

Ha! Einstein was the right name for that duck. And you are such a good dog, I cannot imagine you getting into trouble. Wait, I didn't really say that did I? :-)

Glad you had a good day on the lake, that is one thing I will miss about being on the lake and that is being able to cool down on a hot day! But the lake isn't too far, so who knows maybe we will pop up on the lake for a day on the pontoon! They actually have a country song out now about a pontoon.

Tucker here.
Hey, what about me - I want to talk, too.
Gypsy, you'll have to wait your turn. It's my turn. I'll let you type later! Anyway, I don't know what that stuff, water is. The only water I've seen is the stuff that comes from the hose... oh, and a little, tiny stream near one of the paths we walk on. It sure looks like fun - especially on a hot day! OK, Gypsy, what do you want to say?
Uh...I don't know.... Hi!

Sounds like fun, intact....lol. Good for Far Side, someone has to be a referee.

34 is hot, so glad that you got to spend it at the lake.

I have not stopped by here for awhile, catching up on blogs now. The Lake is surely a better way to spend these hot days we have been having...is this really MN? That's what I get for bragging about our great temperate summers. Too hot now. I tried a walk, 7:30 ish this AM but the sun still beat down too hot for me. So the water is the way to go.

I love the duck with the foo foo feathers. Such a Diva. It has been too hot for me to go to the beach. Even when we put up the umbrella the sun reflects on the sand. I'm such a whiner! I used to love it but not so much anymore.

I'm glad you're smart and listen....Notshy didn't.....she tuned the neighbours Golden Retriever good and he didn't deserve a lick of it. She's in the doghouse for it too:(

Einstein, hmmm? I see the resemblance...

Playing in the water does make a good dog tired. I am glad all went well and you didn't get pulled from the water and placed on the hard hot surfaced pontoon.

Chance, you must have wonderful dreams of all the lovely adventures you share with your family. And I noticed that you do not have to wear the life jacket on the pontoon. It's just for the kayak - - right?!!

Oh I do love your header photo ! Chance you always make me smile . Great photos ! It has been soo hot and humid here and we have been in a drought for a little over a month now . So many farmers have lost crops this season its a shame . We have been watering our gardens and planters every eve but nothing does the trick like water from the sky's ! Have a good day !
