Wistful Wednesday: School Days 2002

Our oldest granddaughter Savannah is a lefty.  She started first grade in a suburb of Chicago.  She was featured in the newspaper.

Savannah I pledge

It said “Savannah is a study in concentration as she says the pledge of allegiance with her first grade classmates at Madison Elementary School in Lombard.”

School started yesterday.  She is a sophomore this year.  In a few years she will graduate.

I have had this newspaper article and the special paper to mount it on..and the idea that I should mat and frame this piece of history for some time now..well since back in 2002. I hope I get it done by the time she graduates:)

What a great picture! I hope you do get that one preserved, it's too wonderful to lose, and I know how newspaper just doesn't keep.

What a great picture! She will definitely want to have that in the future. Both my kids are lefties too.

Oh my gosh, that's too cute!!! Definitely get it preserved and framed before something happens to it. What a keepsake.

I have a leftie too:)
The picture, mounted properly, would make a great graduation gift (which gives you a little bit of time)!

Great post idea. My daughters are both lefties, the Missus and I both righties (is that a proper term?)
