Not much new

The wind is just raw lately, you want to wear a cap and mittens for sure.  It was –2 F here on Friday morning.  Chance doesn’t like the wind and must be accompanied outside.  There is safety in the pack.

Welcome snowmen

I took the red Christmas lights down from the wreath outside and put up the snowmen. The red lights worked for a Valentine decoration but now it is March.

We went to town yesterday.  We had a few errands to do.  Chance needed help getting in the new vehicle and when we got back home he refused to get out…finally Far Guy lifted him up and out.   Chance is going to have to wear his vest with the handle…and he hates it.

Anyways the Ben Franklin Store in town was one of our stops.  I returned two stamp pads that were dry when I opened them…naturally I threw out the receipt.  They said get two more as replacements and we will open them and check them out…well those were dry as a bone too.  I said “I bet all your stamp pads back there are dry.  Some more people will be disappointed.”   So they refunded my money.  The next place to buy a stamp pad in Chocolate Brown is 35 miles away…so my stamping project is on hold.

I bought some yarn and I am beginning to crochet a blanket for the new baby.  It will just be a simple blanket with a soft yarn.  Naturally they only had 17 1/2 ounces of the yarn I wanted so I am making it work….I think.   If not I will just have to go buy different yarn.

It is forecast to be near 50 F today!!!

Good Morning, So very sorry your weather has been raw/windy. How much does Chance weigh? One of Brooke's dogs had emerg. surgery last night (had eaten part of a bed sheet while she was in the shower). He's ok. That is really frustrating about the stamp pads. Glad you opened the new ones before you left the store. Hope your weather does warm up and that you guys enjoy the day.

A crocheted baby blanket from Great-Grandma will be a special gift. Glad you got a refund for the dry ink pad. Looking like a beautiful day in Minnesota. Enjoy!

Do you have an office supply store anywhere nearby? You could find the stamp pads there. The other option is to order them online but then you couldn't return them if they aren't right.
Poor Chance with the aging. It hurts your heart to see it I am sure.

Maybe a ramp that Chance can walk down now.

The Ben Franklin Store brings back memories. It's good to know they still exist somewhere out there . but not good that their stamp pads are dry!
Everything has its season. but it hurts to know that Chance is struggling with age.

It took me a while to catch up, but you have had some major things happening. Glad to hear you are getting along good. Getting old is no fun, and I hope Chance keeps on going. Great to hear about the new baby. Sorry to hear about your Aunt.

What strange weather! Poor Chance, I feel for him. I'm laid up with this dang hip problem and made an appointment to see a pricey physical therapist for Thursday, so I won't be tempted to go on my usual Thursday hike. :-(

Your stamp pad search is frustrating but the baby blanket is a nice alternative project. Now that I am a senior citizen (when did that happen?), when I adopted a dog in November I chose one I can lift, 11 pounds, just in case. I hope Chance has a great day today.

So frustrating to buy new supplies that are so old they don't work. Bummer! Do you have Amazon Prime? You might be able to find a brown ink pad there with no shipping and handling. I've had good luck with Amazon craft supplies so far.

I was also wondering about a ramp for Chance. Would be easier on both your backs, too. ??

Isn't this weather crazy? What a winter. Rain and snow and wind with spring days thrown in for good measure. Rain one day and snow the next. Eventually it will actually be spring. Wonder how long it will last?

We tried a ramp and a step he doesn't like either. :(

I've had that experience with stamp pads too but mine were bought at a dollar store so I should have known better!
We are having yet more snow today. Quite unusual for our area.

Maybe as Chance gets used to the vehicle, he will get out on his own. I'm assuming getting in hasn't been a problem.

Enjoy your warmer temperatures today.

Wish we had a Ben Franklin store. We have absolutely nothing but Walmart and three big new expensive drug stores. Poor Chance. It sure hurts to see them getting old, just the same as a member of the family.

I gotta get caught up here! New car, new baby, fifty degrees geez! LOL. Reading backwards but sounds like life is not too bad there!

I'm sure Chance will get used to the new car. I missed it that you bought a new car.

One of those vests with a handle would be good for Annie. She is really having back issues. I'll have to look into that. We have no stores around here except Dollar General and Walmart so most of my craft supplies I order online. Good luck!
