Bikers and Birds

There wasn’t a creature stirring on our drive last night…no turkeys, no deer. It was a boring drive until we came across these “bikers” my brother hardly ever wears shorts…but he does wear them when he and his wife are out biking.

Not many skeeters so wearing shorts works for a few more nights.  Far Guy and I saw a mosquito…it was extra large.

Far Guy never wears shorts…too much hair on his legs and the bugs drive him nuts.

I have no photo of the Robin that visited our yard briefly, I was filling the birdbath when it flew through.  By the time I got my camera it was long gone.  It is not officially a first sighting unless I get a photo.

Far Guy saw a female Bluebird at one of our  nesting boxes.  Hopefully she decided the box was nest worthy.

The dreaded mosquito! Glad you are seeing more signs of Spring in your area. Have a nice day.

Please don't say that naughty "N" word. Wearing shorts when riding a bike is the best idea as your long pants can get caught in the chain. Always nice to see people either riding or walking.

I remember your previous descriptions of Minnesota mosquitoes. We have little tame ones around here. :-)

I couldn't live somewhere that I couldn't wear shorts! I love bike riding, need to get out there and do it:) Summer is arriving here next week apparently, so shorts it will be.

Mosquitoes have already started here, as have the deer fly and they're voracious. We spray ourselves for the mosquitoes, but not the deer flies, nothing stops them.

My hubby is also a long-pants person for the most part. Says his legs are too white! ;-)

Spring is here when people wear shorts and robins fly through our yards.

YAY! You have a Robin. Could you just see Terry in shorts out on a the ditch bank...he and I would both laugh if he were to ever do so!

Mosquitoes are a bother!
I think a sighting counts. I've seen lots of things I never got a picture of.
I only wear shorts in the house.
Looks like lovely weather. Enjoy!

My brothers would never wear shorts, even when they were small. Guess they thought is was a sissy thing to do. :)

You sound like I do when it comes to the Robins all though it seems just hearing them or seing one is enough to convince me now a days but once they are here I am forever photographing them , they are my fave bird lol ! Papa doesn't wear shorts either cause he has what he calls chicken legs to skinny lol where I have tree trunks for legs from walking every day and biking in the summers lol I like to wear Capri type leggings no shorts for me any more or swim suits oh my too scarey even for me ! ! Oh I cant stand skeeters or as we call them skitters or mozies . Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !

Lucky you. I so wish I'd get a bluebird nesting. It's been 3 years....:(

It's so dry that I've only had a couple of slow moving flies on my porch. There won't be plentiful places for mosquitoes to breed like there is in our normal sloppy springs, so maybe we will have less of them, anyways.
No shorts for me, either--probably for the last 20 years. Capris are the shortest I go--and the world thanks me--LOL! ;)

I rarely wear shorts because of skeeters. I saw one last week, but I'm sure he/she froze this week when it snowed.

I don't wear shorts anymore either but I can see where it would give you an advantage when pedaling. Remember pedal pushers? They call them something else now. We don't have many mosquitoes here in my area but I would take mosquitoes over ticks any day!
