We had a quiet day on Thursday. I slept late as we had no place to be. I did some laundry, cleaned out a drawer and a cabinet in the kitchen (if I do one a day soon they will all be cleaned out before you know it) and worked on my photo album project. Far Guy and I watched a movie in the afternoon. I do appreciate quiet days!
Far Guy's weekly infusions have been switched to Friday mornings for all of January.
We had leftovers for supper...no cooking only warming up. Soup is often better on the second day anyway!
Minnesota weather: It rained. High was 28 F or -2C Low was 2F or -17C eh!
Quiet days and peaceful nights are a gift. You stay busy!
ReplyDeleteMay Far Guy have a good infusion day today & may you get back "home" safe & sound. Yes, quiet days are good days....and soup IS much better the 2nd day or even the 3rd. :-) Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI hope the infusion goes without incident. I wonder why they changed the long standing date.
ReplyDeleteScheduling problems after the holidays:)
DeleteWonderful, isn't it, that peace and quiet? And you're right about cooking: soup tastes better the next day.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy these days!
Those are the best days! No appointments and do what you want when you want - - and no cooking. That is the way I am cleaning, too - - a bit each time. I don't have energy or stamina to tackle it all at once. Plus my mind gets bored with a project and then I slow down. It's like I need something new for a bit. Last month, I finally read in a book that this is a good way to do things - - - no more than three projects at a time but it does give a person variety which helps many.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to have a quiet day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo! Send it to your puzzle spot online. It would be fun to work on! Yes, I agree, the older we get, the more pleasurable it is to stay home and do, or NOT do, anything in particular. You are quite over-scheduled when the health community gets your text number.
ReplyDeleteA quiet day with nowhere to be - that's a Gift of Time.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate quiet days too. Sounds like you had a good one.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Far Guy with the infusion today.
We need down days from time to time.
ReplyDeleteHaving nice day of nothing!!!
ReplyDeleteQuiet days are the best! You guys can certainly use it for regen!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day. I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn with sour cream last night. Today is Dennis' 70th birthday. We're going out to dinner with Brad, Mandy & Piper and I made a cheesecake to share with them afterwards.
ReplyDeleteWe had rain all day yesterday and sunshine today.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Now that sounds like a lovely day indeed! I agree that the soup is better the second day, and also it's better because you don't have to cook again...the days I have something made ahead for dinner or someone else is bringing it, all day I'm happy:)
ReplyDeleteA quiet day is a treasured day. You made good use of it.
