Warming up

They said on the local news/weather that yesterday May 3 was the warmest day since November 1st 2022.  We may have been close to 70 F or 22 C eh!

We went for a Ranger Blue ride to see where they were cutting down trees...the trees West and a bit North of us are getting another trim.

The Marsh Marigolds/Cowslips are up but not blooming yet.

We had a nice ride.   The skeeters are huge and they are thirsty as I discovered when I sat outside enjoying the warm weather and the extended daylight.

There is still snow in the woods.

I picked up twigs in the yard and raked a bit.  June is shrinking.

It was nice and warm here too. What a nice relief. We've been able to have all the windows and balcony door open for fresh air. I love it! June may not last till June!
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Glad to hear the warmer weather has reached you. With spring finally here in earnest, those darn mosquitos are definitely showing up again. Boo!

It's such a relief to finally be getting warm weather. I put out the deck and porch furniture, but discovered I really really need new chair cushions.

No skeeters here yet but setting records for high temps.

Skeeters already? I’d better be on the lookout: they seem to crave my blood. I can be sitting by a crowd of people, and I’m the only one bothered by the pesky critters.

Yes to warmer weather! We had 30C the other day, that was a little much but at least it melted all the snow. I'm waiting for the swallows to come back now to eat the emerging bugs.

Yay for warm weather! My lawn looks like it could be mowed soon

Sorry to see ya go, June! But it is TIME!!

Glad the weather is turning warmer for you, I'm still complaining about cold here, but think we're making some headway. Skeeters are the only part of warmer weather I don't like. I've mowed 3 x already, but it seems weird to be cold when mowing.

Skeeters is not a name we hear very often, as we usually call them mozzies. Hopefully you didn't get too many bites - I really hate how they itch!

Yay for warm weather!!!!!
The skeeters are active here, too. I have been bitten a few times and they swell up like ping pong balls. I am "She Who Skeeters Love". I use creams and pills for the bites and spray spray spray. Maybe I am "She Who Smells Like Bug Spray".

Oh no! Skeeters are out before the snow has completely melted!!!

You'd think you could get a break between blizzard and mosquitos, so you could just enjoy being outside for a little bit without something either freezing you or eating you.

Was 77 here yesterday!! Today I saw 71. Might have been warmer both days--don't watch the news. lol! Supposed to go back down to the 60s now--closer to normal. June should be gone pretty soon. :)

How nice to enjoy a ride and breathe in the Spring air. Glad to hear that June is shrinking....our snow piles are too, at last, and all of a sudden our lake is totally open....I think the strong winds lately, helped a lot.

I hope the cab of Blue is tight enough to keep the biters out.
