Road Trip to Graduation

Last Sunday we took off from Andy and Jen's home and drove three hours west to a Graduation party for some special boys who we love very much.  (My other baby brother and she who sees robins first twin grandsons who used to live next door to us.)

Driver and co pilot

All we had to do is sit back relax and enjoy the never ending flat land in North Dakota.

My baby brother sent us this photo...we did not go to the ceremony ...just the party with great food afterwards!

Long time blog readers may recall these little boys that are all grown up.  Jordan is headed to school to be a Diesel Mechanic and Gavin begins training to be an Electrician.

Congratulations!!

Seems like only yesterday they were little boys next door learning to love dogs.  (Chance helped with that)

I just wondered myself about how kids grow up like this!
This weekend I am going to two graduation parties for young ones I've known since they were 4 yr olds!

Time flies.

'Tis the time of year for awesome celebrations! I admire people who raise multiples (twins, etc). Raising one child at a time is tiring enough that first year. I don't know how people ever get sleep with more than that. You have some great pics of them.

All the best to the boys.
Yes, time flies and all of a sudden the children are grown up and we are... older :-)))
It's so great that you were able to enjoy the party.
all love to you

I am amazed how everything changes when I'm not paying attention. I remember those little ones, who are grown up and headed into a new life! Thanks for sharing all those old photos, it was so nice to see Chance again.

Cute little guys and now handsome big guys! Congratulations to them both! Good choices for careers. One of my great-nephews just graduated from Western Iowa with his Diesel Mechanic degree. He got a great job even before graduating, as there is a huge need for diesel mechanics. Electricians are another area with shortages. Seems like every hands-on and well trained type of employee is in big demand these days.

I was literally in tears as I read this post. I don't even know the boys but seeing them as babies with Chance and then as young adults ready to launch into a new world full of adventures and challenges just touches my heart. They are handsome young men and I wish them all the best in life.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Seeing the boys as little ones having fun with Chance and just running about to their current photo at their graduation reminds me how quickly children grow up.
Wishing Gavin and Jordan all the best in their chosen careers.

I love the little boy pics, with that wonderful dog.
Congratulations to the twins, and to all of the family that helped to bring them to that point in their lives.

What handsome young men and it sounds like they are both going into good fields. I remember your photos of their visits..I think this means we are getting old....could that be?

Wow how time flies. IT is true North Dakota is Flat Flat! Kind of cool if you have never seen land like that before. West side of Iowa is like that as well.

I do remember them. It is great you got to see them again. Party is better than a graduation ceremony. I bet they were a lot of fun when they were running around with Chance.
