Short

Short days and long nights but we will be gaining daylight now... it is the bitterly cold time of year here in Minnesota.

This was the view on Monday morning, the road was pretty good compared to our return trip.

I thought it would be too cold to snow this morning...but the flakes still fell out of the air at -17 F.  The windchill was horrible.

It can stop snowing anytime now.

Usually it has been too cold to snow lately...but not this year. Many times. guess we can't say that anymore when it's below zero--lol!
Stay warm and safe. *love and hugs*

It is bitterly cold, at least it is on its way.

Agreed. We have been getting snow almost every night even with -30 temps and windchill to -40. I'm risking a $300 fine for not clearing the sidewalk but there is very little snow and it's too darned cold to be out there for any length of time.

Hard to deal with, I'm sure - but it is beautiful

It’s definitely a cold morning at -20° and a windchill of -41°F. I plan to stay inside today. The photo is beautiful.

Driving! That is the worst part of winter. And wind...wind is the top worst thing.

Yes snowed most of the afternoon (lightly) yesterday. That is better than the cities, some areas got 12". Drive safely during your travels in the next few days. Sending our sympathy during this time and prayers.

Your photo is beautiful, but no fun to have to drive in those conditions. We're back in a blizzard warning in spite of bright sunshine. Those winds just keep blowing the new snow.

It snowed all day yesterday, we have about a foot. It's going to stay about -12 F all day. I'm glad I don't need to go anywhere!

I am sitting warm and safe in my home instead of hiking in 11°F weather with a wind chill making it feel like -6! Happy to know you are also warm and safe in this bitter cold. :-)

Seems it's cold all over. Our cold water line froze last night :(

Be careful. I know you will be. We're still waiting for it to get to us. Not looking forward to all of this. Luckily we don't have to go anywhere. We're going to be hosting a friend's dog through the New Year, she's supposed to fly Saturday morning, we'll see if she gets out of town.

I have a question for you about Far Guy's treatment, as my husband is now doing infusions...and I can't remember if that's what your husband is doing. My email is dawnkinster@gmail.com if you'd rather talk more privately.

Thank you.

We are hearing reports here of severe storms across your country, so am sending our prayers that you and your family will stay safe and warm. Mxx

So hard to travel when the roads get treacherous. People don't like to slow down. We just got another 6 inches and soooo cold. I see this cold weather is going all the way down south, even affecting my sister in North Carolina....and relatives in Kentucky. Pray we can all keep warm through this. Take good care you guys!

The wind is the worst; cold I can take but the wind makes things miserable. Stay safe!

It's a beautiful view but I wouldn't want to be out in it for sure!
