Busy Days

Jen called and wanted to meet with me so I could get a key to the new gathering place.  She wanted to meet at Hobby Lobby an hour North. I quickly called my baby brothers bride as she likes Hobby Lobby also...poor gal only had about five minutes to get ready! I spent the morning in Hobby Lobby (yes yarn may have been purchased) and the afternoon sitting with my Dad...we watched TV ( Heartland on Netflix) and had a number of naps.  Mom was shopping in Fargo North Dakota with cousin Geraldine for a new sewing machine.

I got home about 7:30 luckily I had put steak in the crock pot for steak enchiladas...and I should have taken a photo as they were really good.

I think this might be a 1955 Chevy.

Far Guy joined the local car club...they have cruise nights every Tuesday...so we may give that a whirl next week.

I've been trying to find local car shows for hubby to see, there are a few going on constantly. Now just to get him out of the house!

Love that car! LOL on 'some yarn may have been purchased'.
You have had a really busy busy day!

All of a sudden, I can't stop thinking about steaks and crockpots. I've never tried that but I may soon in my future!

I love that old car! I remember them when they were all the rage. :-)

What a fun day! There was a very similar old car for sale close to us last year. I tried to get my hubby interested in it. They have monthly car nights not far from us. Alas, he is a truck guy and not into cars :/ I need to find an old Chevy Truck in good condition!

The Cruise Night sounds like a really fun way to enjoy those classic cars, along with friends. I like Hobby Lobby too. I took granddaughter Olivia a few times when she was little and she bragged to her brothers that she got to go to "Jolly Holly".

Oh, what a beautiful car.

Beautiful car - it's obviously well loved and maintained.

I've never been to a Hobby Lobby, perhaps I need to make a trip down to North Dakota (Minot is about 4 or 5 hours from here). It will have to wait until fuel prices go much lower...and when I've used up more of my stash. I guess that's not very likely. :)

I sure remember those cars but not often as convertibles.
So nice to bring your SIL with you fun shopping and that you had some time with your dad. Hope your mom loves her new machine.

That's a beautiful car! Glad you got to spend some time in one of your favorite stores. More yarn is always a good thing. Steak in a crock pot sounds pretty good too.

That is almost a complicated story but I think I did figure it out. Your mom going to Fargo for a new machine was great for her. The Chevy is beautiful.

50's cars are a favorite of mine as I was in my teens for that age of car. Cars were important for a teenager. As farm kids we got to drive long before we had a driver's license.

I love Hobby Lobby too. Did you make it for the 30% off yarn sale? I'm looking for a fun embroidery project to do and need to see what they have. I'm glad you had company for the road trip and also that you enjoyed time with your Dad.
The car cruising sounds wonderful. I would love to sit on the sidelines watching.
Blessings,
Betsy

What fun! Hobby Lobby, the Gathering Place and a new sewing machine for your Mom. Let us know what kind she gets. Steak in the crockpot and "cruising"? When Winter is over you guys know how to have fun!
