Trail Cam: Birds

We unloaded the trail cam again, it is fun to see what visits our yard.

We have been seeing flashes of blue and thought we might have a pair of Bluebirds and now we have proof.

They like the bird bath.

The Pileated Woodpeckers are back too…these may be juveniles or a visiting pair.

I love to see the bluebirds- a rarity here, I think because of our martins. Have a great weekend!

That's wonderful to know you've got bluebirds. I hope they are the Bluebirds of Happiness! :-)

You are so lucky to have bluebirds. I don’t begin to get the number of different kinds of birds at the new place. I miss cardinals and bluebirds.

I love bluebirds...my favorites! I may need to get one of those Trailcams....what fun! I'd probably just see armadillos and skunks! LOL!

Fun photos of your feathered visitors.

I love bluebirds! They only fly through here in very early spring late winter, then they are gone. As the geese start returning we will see the little flashes of blue as they move down from the north to a more southern climate, never lingering. I wish they would.

Your trail cam shows up some mighty interesting things doesn’t it? Bluebirds are just lovely. As is the woodpecker, although I know they can do a lot of damage. I still think they are beautiful birds.

Rich to have the bluebirds visit.

Blue birds are some of my favourite birds ( we have to drive a couple of hundred miles to be in their territory). Pileated Woodpeckers are in our area but certainly not to be found in town. They are quite the impressive bird!

I love to see your trail cam pictures! The bluebirds are beautiful. I don't think we have ever had them in our yard. We have had pileated woodpeckers and they are big! Is that some new yard art you have (the ant?) or have I missed a post? It adds variety to your yard and the bluebird seems to like it!

The ant stands guard over the bird bath, many birds like to sit on him:)

The guard ant is funny. Your feathered visitors are wonderful.
