Ready or not

It is snowing here and the ground is white, of course it is late at night on Thursday so I will have a photo or two tomorrow. The wind is howling…snow is blowing around. It is officially our first snow….usually we can get by with a few snowfalls that melt before winter settles in.

We worked on a few Fall Projects this week.  All the lawn furniture is put away except for two chairs which were kept out in the hopes that it will be warm enough one day soon to sit outside again.

We found a spot for the snow stick….just in time.  Trust is when one person holds the stick while another hits it with a big flat rock cause someone (me) is too lazy to go get the hammer.

Far Guy moved my small flag holder.  It looks good near the old wagon wheels.

I decorated the wreath by the door.

I vacuumed out one of the vehicles…one was all my hand/wrist/arm could take. I sure do like those custom floor liners…easy peasy ...well worth the $ spent on them.

Yikes, I heard snow is expected in the Cities, too. That's just too early. I like the witch on your wreath.

I'm sure you will have smow pix to show. I heard five inches in Bemidji already before 5:30 this morning. I like the little flag by the wagon wheels. Sorry you still hurt from your surgery.

Ah, the snow stick! It definitely is that time of year. Nice decorations on that wreath. :-)

Oh no, not the snow stick already. Yikes!! I mulched again yesterday. Today is cold and blustery but no snow yet. Just seems like Halloween should be over with before it snows.

Three snows here so far, and thankfully none have decided to stay around. Like you said, soon that will not be the case.

When the snow sticks come out winter can not be far behind. Absolutely lovely pictures!! No snow yet, here in northmost Indiana, but it feels it. It got down to 43 during the night so not quite cold enough to snow but the proper temperatures will be here soon enough. Blessings~ Andrea XXX

Nothing but a dusting here in Fargo. It went north and east of us. But it was 28 degrees when I woke up this morning so we sure got the cold. Expected to be 15 degrees tomorrow night--brrrr! Snow stick time already. Goodness!

Snow already?! Fall just arrived yesterday here in Florida, had our first days in the mid 70s, high 60s at night. I get cranky if it gets below 60. I could never live anywhere else!

I didn't send the snow this time. We just have lots of wind. Yes fall chores have to be done. I'm still hoping for a few more bike rides.

I saw skiffs of snow this morning. I know that northern Iowa will also get it. I know that we will catch up to all it sooner or later. Some things will come in the next few days but all the plants have to come in today. Our first hard freeze will be tonight. A rock is a great tool.

Snow seams to early, but guess not Thanksgiving is only about 4 weeks away.
We are getting rain and temps tonight in the 30's. just yesterday it was 79.
Your yard still looks good.

Noooooo..... although we usually have a teeny snowfall for Hallowe'en but after all the snow we had last winter I want to hold it off as long as possible.

When we heard on the national news this evening that Minnesota got 10 inches of snow, I immediately mentioned you and wondered if you got your snow stick out in time. I did tell Tom that you have all of your leaves taken care of. Funny how blogging has us talking almost like neighbors, except no snow here!

I saw that the snow was headed your way. Brrr...too soon for me! Hope you get a sun break before winter sets in in earnest there.

I had seen that big blue blob on the radar up by you. It seems a bit early as it was 27 here this morning....or is it just me? I love it when you can hear the wind howl. Stay warm and I hope Far Guy gets better soon. Yes, the 'big rock' test of faith....I've heard of that! LOL!
