Busy Man

My husband was a busy man whilst I was gone, he washed the windows and totally took apart the screendoor windows and washed them.  He carried away most of the lawn furniture and folded up tables in my garage.  He sprayed weeds!  Chance got a new batch of pumpkin treats too.  Perhaps I should leave more often!

Pretty Tree

I stopped at this tree on the way home and took a few photos.  It was windy.

Maple Tree

It stands near the Erie Town Hall.

This tree is a ways East of the old Highway 34 Club.  That was a dinner/bar/dance place called Erie 34.  There was also an Erie Junior located in Detroit Lakes out on Highway 10 east of town, Far Guy and I went there one year for supper before prom probably in 1968 or 1969. I am not sure what happened to the place in town…but the Erie 34 Club was bought and sold and the name changed to The Broken Wheel and it eventually burned down.  I recall once when Rhonda called me and said “The Chippendales are going to be at The Broken Wheel want to go?”  I wish I had gone.

Nice to come home to all those surprises. Wow, what a gorgeous tree! I love it when the sun hits and it looks like the tree is lit from within.

Wow! Lots of chores happened while you were away! It is that time of year to take in the lawn stuff, isn't it? Beautiful tree!

How pretty, our trees won't change for months yet. My husband always gets more done than me whether I'm here or not.

I love that tree. The only red color we get here is on the Scrub Oak...still I love the color so will take it wherever it shows up.

I do miss the beautiful colors of fall in Illinois, now that I'm in Texas...not so much color here, and not until November.

Getting away from it all occasionally refreshes the parts other joys cannot reach. In your case, windows!

That really is a splendid tree; I love the colours of autumn. Wish they’d last just a bit longer. Must get my camera ready.

Gorgeous tree! We don't have many maples here in AR so I planted a sugar maple in my front yard so I would have one. I had planted one on the farm too. Remember when supper clubs were all the rage? They were always out in the country it seemed and I remember one that my Aunt and Uncle took me to that had big picture windows out the back that showed the rolling hills and the cows coming home. They came pretty close to the windows. It's a good thing they had the windows closed or it might not have been too appetizing! LOL! I think it was called The Butterfly Club. And what happened to relish dishes?
