We caught up with Maddie late in the afternoon the day of the Winter Formal.
I saw photos of this sparkly dress earlier when she picked it out. The dress has personality!
I think Auntie Jen helped to corset her in!
The bracelet that we designed to go with her dress. We worked on it the weekend that she was deer hunting with my Dad.
Maddie and two of her friends.
There were half a dozen girls in the house with their dates. The girls sat around texting and taking photos, giggling and eating pizza, the boys were talking about trucks and cars and having a video game competition.
Maddie and her beau.
Here is another view of the back of the gown.
Those tendrils of fabric flowed behind her as she walked. The theme of the Winter Formal was “Frozen in Time.”
I took this photo right after the Grand March.
I had to turn one photo into black and white because black and white photos are beautiful of Maddie with her dark eyes and dark hair. She had a really fun time getting all dressed up!
Your granddaughters are stunningly beautiful. Great photos of them both.
What a beautiful granddaughter you have. I love her smile and the dress was fabulous! I love yellow and the "tails" hanging down and all the jewels. I've never seen anything like it and I always love unique things. I bet she was "the bell of the ball". Her beau was a cutie and the braclet looked fab with that dress. What a great event.
How beautiful! I love the dress and the bracelet. She is a very pretty young lady!
She is stunning and I love the dress - very unique! What fun and special times to share with the girls!
Wow, another beautiful granddaughter. I think the black and white photo is the best. again, the bracelet was a perfect accent for the dress. you are very fortunate to be a special part of their lives.

What a gorgeous dress! It definitely has personality. Thanks for showing how those tendrils of fabric flow behind her. I was wondering, as I kept seeing bits of leg through the fabric! :-)
Beautiful girl, beautiful dress. Wow!
Beautiful girl, handsome beau! Brave girls standing out in the snow to have their picture taken! What an unusual dress that is with the tendrils of fabric in the back. Never have seen this before.
One word for the photos and the young ladies ! Beautiful !
All I can say is Beautiful!
That dress is amazing! And Maddie looks gorgeous in it!
Just beautiful! You must be so proud of these girls.....
(Great photography, BTW.)
What a pretty dress!
Great photos, wow! A stunning dress, and takes a stunning girl to wear that! I wondered if the tails got stepped on while dancing? Another lovely bracelet to match the outfit, those girls are lucky to have you in their lives, as are you to have them.
Maddie's dress certainly is unique, and it looks gorgeous on her!
This is another set of great photos. It looked like a great theme to have near winter time..

There's a lot to be gained by getting dressed other than having fun...poise, confidence...
Absolutely gorgeous and I love the dress and the super cool bracelet you made for her!
Maddie is beautiful! That dress is most unusual. I love it...the way it is made and that color is so pretty on her.
That girl has her own style! Stunning dress! :)
She is gorgeous and I love the dress--it looks traditional until she walks, and then it's modern and spectacular.
These pictures are beautiful! Looks like the girls had a wonderful time :)
