Hiya!! It is me Chance the best blogging Border Collie in all of North Central Minnesota!
Far Side has a habit of calling someplace and says “Give Chance the works.”
So I get dropped off at the Spa and they get to go out for breakfast all alone.
I have them all fooled…I make so much racket at the spa…a mournful howling kind of racket…that they call for me to be picked up as soon as I am finished. I am a smart dog.
I get a bath with hypoallergenic shampoo …no fragrance allowed…a good brushing and a little clipping here and there, my anal glands get “expressed” uffda..and my toe nails are clipped…I know the routine as soon as that is all done …I commence with the howling.
My white hair is so clean…Far Side says I am ever so handsome.
I don’t look quite as great after a few days…it has been warm and when I play hard I like to plop in my pool and get all cooled off. I carry lots of sand in the house…I am told I leave little beaches here and there…oh well.
Here I am showing off some flowers. Far Side points and says “I need a model Chance and you are it.” I listen carefully so it gets over quickly. Sit up…lay down..look here…open your eyes… okay you are done GOOD BOY!
You are still by far the handsomest border collie I know. And smart too.
ReplyDeleteWell, you are definitely handsome, Chance. I might even say beautiful, but I'm not sure how you feel about that. :-)
ReplyDeleteOur Miggs gets shaved down for the summers as she has a long thick and heavy coat and she still carries in all kinds of stuff as she is a roller lol ! Handsome Chance always ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful boy, and so smart to know all he has to do is howl and his taxi picks him right up!
ReplyDeleteHi Chance:
ReplyDeleteAlways so good to hear from you and get the doggie point of view about things. You are looking great as usual and I am so glad this periodic Ordeal is over now for a while. Our male Boston Terrier has a patented howl that he gives whenever someone leaves the apartment. There is no way to convince him that this is too loud and might annoy the neighbors. Once he gets going it is impossible to stop him. But he give up after a few minutes.

Chance, you are a beautiful boy. I specially love your ears!
ReplyDeleteA lot of blogger dogs have had spa days lately:) I'm too cheap to pay for one as you know. Besides, I'd have to worry about Luna nipping someone. Chance's white is sparkling! Laughed at his howling though:)
ReplyDeleteWow, Chance, you are also the best looking blogger!
ReplyDeleteHi Chance, You look beautiful. Hunter hates going to the groomers, but all he does is shake. O.k. so I want to tell your mom about the best product we've found to keep a coat white and clean even weeks after grooming. It is called The Stuff for dogs and is a spray on that helps retain the luster of a fresh bath and prevent mats. I put it on Hunter as soon as he is home from the groomer, so his feet don't get dirty right away and he doesn't get mats. It works. We got it online and love it.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great day.
Noreen & Hunter
You look MARVELOUS Chance! You are a good model for Mom's flowers!!!
ReplyDeleteQuite the handsome fella, and very clever too!
ReplyDelete"Good Boy"? Is that ALL?!?! Chance, it seems to me there ought to be a little more remuneration than that. You might want to check into this further ;)
ReplyDeleteLaffs!
DeleteHold out for a dog biscuit!
You ARE a good boy, Chance :-).
ReplyDeleteChance...you look marvelous!
ReplyDeleteChance….all washed and combed out.. You are prettier than the flowers
ReplyDeleteWell Chance I'm glad you have your people trained to pick you up right after the spa work is done on you! Bet they wish they could have a longer lunch though.
ReplyDeleteYou make a very good model to show off the flowers.
What a good dog! Chance is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh Chance, you sure have those 'guys' trained!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a very handsome dude!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo: the fence, the flowers, the beautiful Chance.
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome dog - and so very clever. Ranee in Minnesota
ReplyDeleteHey, You look great, Chance! Boomer and I haven't been for some time as our groomer got sick, but Mom says we are GOING in September. I detest the groomer.

Chance, you look extra handsome after "the works"...and know how to get home earlier, too--LOL! ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a spa as neither Annie nor I get baths very often. Of course, we just go roll in deer doo-doo as soon as we can anyway. Mom just ordered some natural/gentle cleaner from Amazon so I think we're in for it again. Annie is easy but I'm so big she hasn't figured out how she's going to wash me. Outside would be good but it's only cold water but she can't get me in the tub so she's looking for a hose attachment for the shower which is walk-in. Meanwhile I am safe but Annie....not so much.
