Winter Formal: Maddie

We caught up with Maddie late in the afternoon the day of the Winter Formal.

Maddie in the snow

I saw photos of this sparkly dress earlier when she picked it out. The dress has personality!

Back of the gown

I think Auntie Jen helped to corset her in!

Sparkly dress

Bracelet

The bracelet that we designed to go with her dress.  We worked on it the weekend that she was deer hunting with my Dad.

Maddie and friends

Maddie and two of her friends.

There were half a dozen girls in the house with their dates.  The girls sat around texting and taking photos, giggling and eating pizza, the boys were talking about trucks and cars and having a video game competition.Maddie and her beau two

Maddie and her beau.

Back of the gown two

Here is another view of the back of the gown.

Grand march Maddie and beau

Those tendrils of fabric flowed behind her as she walked.  The theme of the Winter Formal was “Frozen in Time.”

Maddie and her beau

I took this photo right after the Grand March.

Maddie black and white

I had to turn one photo into black and white because black and white photos are beautiful of Maddie with her dark eyes and dark hair.  She had a really fun time getting all dressed up!

What a beautiful granddaughter you have. I love her smile and the dress was fabulous! I love yellow and the "tails" hanging down and all the jewels. I've never seen anything like it and I always love unique things. I bet she was "the bell of the ball". Her beau was a cutie and the braclet looked fab with that dress. What a great event.

What a gorgeous dress! It definitely has personality. Thanks for showing how those tendrils of fabric flow behind her. I was wondering, as I kept seeing bits of leg through the fabric! :-)

Beautiful girl, handsome beau! Brave girls standing out in the snow to have their picture taken! What an unusual dress that is with the tendrils of fabric in the back. Never have seen this before.

Great photos, wow! A stunning dress, and takes a stunning girl to wear that! I wondered if the tails got stepped on while dancing? Another lovely bracelet to match the outfit, those girls are lucky to have you in their lives, as are you to have them.

There's a lot to be gained by getting dressed other than having fun...poise, confidence...

She is gorgeous and I love the dress--it looks traditional until she walks, and then it's modern and spectacular.
