BE prepared

Recently I finished two baby blankets for the stash.

Purple...because someone told me when I have a baby I would like a purple blanket because the nursery will be purple.  Alrighty then.  Great Grandma is prepared!

Blue...just because.

The yarn is Baby Bee Snugs and Kisses...the purple is called Grape and the blue is called Blueberry.  I used a size J hook and 3 to 4 skeins of yarn.

One thing about this yarn is that you stay nice and warm when crocheting!

Far Guy made brats and tater tots for supper.  He can cook!

Minnesota Weather; High was 10F or -12C and the Low was 5F or -15C.

I had an MRI on my lower back to see what is or isn't happening. I slept all afternoon after the tiny little pill the Dr prescribed so I would not freak out in the confined space.

  2. Uffdah, MRI's are noisy. Rich couldn't handle them, but I didn't mind them so much. At least you got a good nap out of it!

  3. Hoping that your MRI results come back with great news. I really struggle with those MRI machines since I'm so claustrophobic. That is some good sleeping though with the little pill that helps you relax. You are on top of things with the blankets. Again...you amaze me with all your talents and your ability to crochet so quickly.

  5. It's always good to be prepared with those baby gifts. I like having a baby quilt or two in the closet, just waiting for the next one needed. Your doctor need to find some answers for you back pain. Maybe 2026 will come with a fix.

  8. That pill was a life saver.

I have used that yarn. It’s really soft. Makes a snuggle blanket!

  11. Glad your MRI is over. I had one in November. Not crazy about them but made it through. Mine led to an injection in my spine. I've enjoyed reading back over your posts. Especially enjoyed hearing about each of your grandkids. They're great. Want a laugh? When I saw the little picture of the baby blanket you're crocheting and the title of your post "BE prepared", I thought the picture looked like the Chinese military with the warning be prepared. It scared me! Thought you had heard some news I missed. :)

  12. Your baby blankets are great. We had Lancashire Hotpot for dinner. I got the recipe from my daughter in law in London. She made it one night and it was delicious. The only change I made was I used beef instead of lamb. We couldn't tell the difference.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  18. I didn't know doctors would give you medication to deal with MRI's. I've had several, including one of my head, and, especially with the last one, I could have wished to sleep through it. I know someone with a seven month old girl who has a purple nursery - must be the thing right now.
