I ran out of yarn. Let me rephrase that I didn’t bring enough yarn with me. Problem solved as there are two stores that carry yarn here in town.
I like doing the shell stitch, it is easy to do when watching tv. I brought the pink with me and not sure why I only brought one ball. The blue is the new purchase..same stitch but a little bit larger crochet hook. Both will be added to my stash of finished blankets.
We had a good day. Far Guy and I went to Wally World and walked around…I needed som new fuzzy socks…I just hate it when the elastic goes bad and the socks slip down my feet. There were a few other things picked up also …all on sale.
It was a very warm day the high according to our vehicle was 86F.
We had salad for supper topped with chicken and bacon…pineapple rounded out the meal.
Goodbye September

Nice to meet you. I stumbled across your blog by chance...
ReplyDelete...and it made me smile. Why? Well, I have the same problem with my yarn. I want to make a waistcoat. Out of necessity, I went to a shop that sells wool and fabric. I thought I could use some matching fabric on the sides.
By the way, I will write about this Problem in detail in my next post or the one after that.
Greetings by Heidrun
Glad you got some more yarn. It was a necessary thing to keep the world spinning, right?
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I'm glad you had access to more yarn. :) The shell stitch is very pretty - I think it is particularly nice for a baby blanket.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you and Far Guy were able to get out for a wander.
It's good to read FG is out and about. That says he's feeling better. You cannot do without yarn!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! Glad you were able to get out and about with FG. He must be feeling lots better. We had temps almost 90 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThat yarn looks like the one that is so so soft. Makes a nice blanket for a little one.
ReplyDeleteWow, FG went to Walmart with you. I’m so happy he’s feeling better!
I love how creative you are!!! I could only wish to be! Therefore, I wish! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of you getting out to WM is a big change!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that I know that you have not run out of yarn!! Gosh...your work is absolutely gorgeous and you can crochet so fast. I only dream that someday I will be able to do this. Glad you found those socks and especially on sale... A good trip to Wally World is nice ever now and then.
ReplyDeleteI like both colors, they are pretty.
