Daughter Jen and Granddaughter Maddie busted Far Guy out of the hospital on Friday about noon. He is doing well but still has some pain. It is good to have him home from the hospital…well not quite home but close as it can be for now. Sadie was real happy to see him too! Company at the hospital was a quick visit from Grandson Noah.
These “things” are hanging in the main hospital entrance. I asked several nurses what they were…germs or bacteria was the most popular response. For supper I made wild rice and baked carrots and some bacon gravy to go on top of the pork chops that Jen sous vied and Andy browned up in the fry pan. It was a great meal. Far Guy is getting back some of his appetite so that is a good thing!
Nice day here highs in the 70’s.
Onward and forward to healing things!

Some of the best art installations can be found inside hospitals these days.
ReplyDeleteSuch good news!
ReplyDeleteGlad Far Guy is out of the hospital.
ReplyDeleteThings sound like they are all moving in the right direction which must be such a relief. That hospital installation is certainly interesting and unique. Love to read about food too to get ideas on what to cook around here. I'm getting slacker in that department. Take Care, J
ReplyDeleteYour supper sounds really yummy, and hearing that FG is getting his appetite back is very good news. The hospital art is pretty interesting. I was thinking germs - or squashed frogs.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have him home, good. The sous vide: makes the best pork chops, turns a chuck roast into tasting like prime rib...I need to crack mine our again. Anyway. Prayers for continued healing!
ReplyDeleteSuch good news!!! YAY
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Far Guy is out of the hospital. Wishing you both continued healing.
ReplyDeleteThat art installation is quite interesting. I wonder who dusts it?

ReplyDeleteGood to hear that Far Guy is making some progress.
ReplyDeleteLD...I am so glad that he is home. Family and good food has to help a lot to distract from having surgery. A loving dog is a wonderful thing too.
ReplyDeleteyour meal sounds wonderful...I love pork chops!! Glad FG is "almost home " and is doing well.. The hanging things could sure pass for little germs...lol
