Yard

The Oaks are slowly dropping their leaves in our yard.

Not sure how much time I will be able to spend on the lawn mower mulching leaves this year.

We will see...one day at a time.

  1. It is already that time of year where the oak leaves start falling. It feels like it happens so fast once autumn hits. I hope you get a few nice days where you can enjoy the yard work, or at least that the raking goes quickly when you do get to it. melodyjacob.com

  2. I imagine that bouncing around on the mower might now feel very good. The leaves won't hurt anything will they? Maybe in the spring you can mulch them?
I used to rake them onto a tarp and then drag the tarp into the pasture to let the mules spread around.

  3. All you can do is push on. Hope the surgery goes as expected. Be glad when FG is through it. I am thinking of all of you.

  5. No pressure...baby steps. You both need to take care of yourselves. That's the most important thing. I hope your appointments went well. We finally had rain yesterday...no more fire danger!

  6. Be gentle with yourself, giving things time to heal.

  7. Mother Nature will eventually mulch them for you.
Hope all went well with the appointments this week.

  9. I have left the leaves the past few years and it didn't matter. Spending a lot of time on the mower can be painful.

  10. One day at a time. Sometimes it's better to let Mother Nature take over while you heal.

  11. Yes...one day at a time. Please do not overdo...which is so easy to do when you're trying to get a job done.

  13. The Oaks here are also dropping their leaves. I brought a small branch with leaves still attached when we came home from our walk.

  15. Thinking about FarGuy's surgery. Positive thoughts.
I love the fall...but then I don't have to clean up the leaves. ;)

  16. We "picked" all of my glass flowers today. I washed them and they are ready to be put in the attic over the garage. Thankfully Tom could do most of the walking and carrying. I had a final session of physical therapy today. Unless doing my exercises in the coming months finally miraculously show improvement, I am done. It will be what it is. I got my COVID shot while I was there anyway.
