Nests and lemon pudding

I got five nests out of that skein of yarn!  They are not exactly the same, because I am easily distracted!

They are ready for the messy decoupage…one of these days I will get around to it!

I made lemon pudding for Far Guy it is one of his favorites.  Everything has to be done in stages…gather the ingredients…rest…throw it all in the saucepan…rest…cook it up and pour it into dishes..rest…make meringue…enjoy it after supper!

It seems one larger project is all I can do in one day so I have to pick and choose what is the most important…however sitting in a chair crocheting, reading or petting Sadie is easy.  I fear I am becoming a lady of leisure.

  1. Well, you've earned your leisure. I am looking to have some of that this weekend. Quiet time where I can do nothing important.

  2. You will NEVER be a true lady of leisure, if I know you. It might take you longer but you still get things done!

  3. Your nests turned out great. Your lemon pudding making sounds like me whenever the chore requires standing or not sitting in my favorite chair. We are definitely on the same page!

  4. Being a lady of leisure is probably what you need right now.

  5. Oh that pudding sounds delicious! Perfect for Summer. Homemade everything is best.

Your nests are a functional work of art. You are still getting a lot done! One larger project is more than most get done in a day.

I have Life Impossible purchased and waiting TBR! I enjoyed Matt Haig's Midnight Library and want to read more of his books.

  7. You deserve to be a "lady of leisure", my dear....most of all now, while you're recuperating. With my legs & body what it is, that's how I do all chores...do a little, rest....do a little, rest. I absolutely hate it but pray for acceptance. Love, Andrea xoxo

  8. You deserve leisure! Enjoy it. Real lemon pudding is a hard task. Lots of steps and chances to mess it up. Meringue is the same.i hope he appreciated all that work you did.

  10. That's how my life has been for over two decades. Priority decisions each day and baby steps to get anything done. I can totally relate. It isn't easy to be forced to slow down to what feels like a crawl--lol! *love and hugs*

  11. You are doing great! You prioritize and do a project in stages which gives satisfaction due to the accomplishment but are still being careful to recover safely. You had major stuff done as you know. You are further ahead than the first week for mobility for sure and hopefully the pain is less and the numbness subsiding.

  12. Those nests are great. I believe they will trick the wasps/hornets into staying away.
Just take your time. Soon you will be up and around and will forget all about these days. Enjoy the Sadie time!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  13. I prefer being a lady of Leisure, but feel guilty! I did some weeding, rested, did a vacuum, rested. It is so hot.

  15. That pudding sounds like lemon meringue pie without the crust. I like that!
Now that it is hard for me to get around, I have to work at not just sitting. I'm not a lady of leisure yet, but it could happen. I'm not sure I would like it though.

  16. The only lemon pudding that happens here is from a box. Good for you making it for Far Guy, even if it took a lot out of you.

Ha....I don't think you will ever become a lady of leisure! Wow....you put meringue on lemon pudding? That is getting fancy! I'm sure far guy loves it. I would too! Bless your heart!
