Flowers

Yesterday there was a nice patch of Gaillardia blooming in the flower gardens at the clinic.  Far Guy had his infusion and I had a blood draw.  I picked up an order from Walmart of things Far Guy thought he could eat and went to the Bank.

I was supposed to have a Physical Therapy appointment, I confirmed it and everything...then a scheduler called at 10:30 AM to schedule the appointment ..I told her I had an appointment at 11AM...she said she had no record of my appointment (she must have cancelled it before calling me).  Go figure.  Is the entire medical community on drugs or what?  I am now scheduled in about a month. Oh well the wheels of medicine move slowly and sometimes not at all.

Far Guy and I were both tired after our morning out.

Back at home I did some laundry and had a nap.  Supper is Chicken Alfredo...I may have a salad. Lettuce doesn't agree with Far Guy lately.

Yesterday was a very warm day our high was 86F or 30C our low was 68F or 20C eh!

  1. If I had proof of my appointment on the 11th, I would have made her back off! If it shows up on my phone, I do a screen shot. That's ridiculous that you now have to wait another month?! You are right! The young in the medical field (not all) give me pause!!
    Rest...

  2. The flowers are lovely. By the time you get any therapy, it’ll be to late to help as it should. Hang in there.

  3. That is so frustrating when things go wonky at the scheduler's desk. Now you have to wait a month, but what can you do? Rest some more and make dinner, I guess. Sending virtual hugs and prayers again today.

  4. I think the people who call to remind us about our appointments are in lala land. We often have to tell them when our appointments actually are- and then they look and see that we were right.
Those flowers are lovely- they grow wild here in Alberta.

  6. I have been reading every day but have not had an extra minute for commenting on anybody's due to some extra things going on here. It's all good enough though. You two are still "keeping on keeping on" as the saying goes. Very thankful to hear this.
My sister gave me a beautiful lily plant with pretty reddish purple blooms - - and some creature decided to decapitate it - -low on the main stem. This is definitely not the area for any kind of garden unless it is behind wires or nets.
I am sure FG is on some medicine for his stomach. With some of my food allergies, what has worked best for me is not anything man-made but rather the Probiotic from NewChapter.com. All their supplements are plant-based and go through a fermentation process for easier digestion. The probiotic quickly resets gut bacteria due to any issues. However I know chemo is a bigger issue than a virus or allergy. However it is what allowed my gut to begin absorbing their iron supplement before I knew my small intestine was being destroyed due to gluten.

  8. Sorry about the appointment snafu. Waiting for care/help is hard, especially long waits.

Beautiful Galliardia! It doesn't grow well for me, so I quit trying. I garden by my mantra "grow what grows for you"!!

  9. Makes you wonder about that scheduler.
    Chicken alfredo sounds so good!
The flowers are so pretty and cheerful.
Hope you have a quiet day today. :)

  11. Greens are hard to digest. I can't have any except green beans. Anytime I go out for errands no matter how short I am always exhausted when I get home. I don't blame you for needing a nap. Chicken Alfredo sounds good....I will put that on my menu.

  12. I like those flowers. Some years I have none come through the winter (due to wetness) other years, like this one, they are popping up randomly in every corner.
I hope FG finds some foods that he can eat.

  13. Beautiful flowers - I find it's a bit of a fussy one and I have trouble keeping plants going for more than a year or two!

  14. I've grown gallardia before, they are so pretty!
Arrggh, the PT cancellation would be annoying. Perhaps there will be a cancellation so you can get in sooner.

  15. Frustrating!! They better not bill you for a missed appointment!! Grrrrr. And to be 30 days out, what a mess.
Hoping the new foods settle Far Guy's stomach. You are both in my prayers.
