We were invited to my other baby brothers and she who sees robins first for Easter dinner on Saturday afternoon. 22 people were there, it was an awesome dinner; ham, potato salad, fruit salad, chips, vegetables and dip, pickles, rice krispy bars and fresh fruit. It was a nice day all the children big and little headed out for a rousing game of Annie I Over the garage, there was lots of giggling and running! The EGGciting news is that my other baby brother and she who sees robins first will be GREAT Grandparents in October! This also means that our niece Stacey and husband Justin will be Grandparents!
On Sunday we had a quiet day at home, Far Guy worked on my lawn mower for the upcoming mowing season...I think it got a new air filter, oil filter and spark plug...all set to go! I scanned a bunch of obituaries and added them to Find A Grave. Late in the day we went for a Ranger Blue ride.
Maddie sent photos of our Great Grandchildren with their Easter baskets!
Hey Mikey
Cee Cee
Peach
They should be well sugared up for a day or two!
Far Side
I have never heard of Annie I Over. I googled it and it sounds like a fun game for kids.
ReplyDeleteYou’re lucky Far Guy can still service the lawn mower. Kubota did mine last year. It did need a new battery. My bill was over $600.00.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't do anything for Easter but did spend a nice quiet day and I got to get in a small walk before the downpours hit hard.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time!
I come from a small family, with distance between us, so 22 people sounds like a lot to me. But I can imagine, it was a whole lot of fun visiting, eating great food, and time outdoors.
ReplyDeleteThe greats are sure growing up quickly!
That was a great Easter celebration especially for the kids.
ReplyDeleteThe kids look quite pleased with their easter haul!
ReplyDeleteAs with Maebeme, I came from a really small family, so that would overwhelm me! It does sound fun, though. More Greats on the way!
ReplyDeleteThose kids are so CUTE!!! I love their smiles
ReplyDeleteHolidays always feel more festive with little kids around. Glad you got to enjoy it with family.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are those G-Grands!
ReplyDeleteI remember when 22 was a common number for our Easter gathering down in Oregon at my parents farm, with lots of big and little kids running around. Now it is seven of us and our babies are all grown up.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to go to a big family celebration!
They're probably sugared up for two weeks1 Nice to have a big family gathering. We had a grand total of 4 - our son and his wife.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good Easter
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all in the lineage of expecting that new baby in October! I think it's pretty amazing to watch each other's kids, grands, and greats all grow up on our blogs. I remember when Hey Mikey and CeeCee were just teensy wittle babies!
ReplyDeleteEaster candy and kids. Let the sugaring up begin! Haha! Blessings to you and Far Guy!
LD...The kids are so cute. My niece is still giving her grown up boys Easter baskets. I guess once they go to college she can't do it anymore.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day! And great-grandparent news, too!
ReplyDeleteI never heard of Annie I Over. I'll have to google it. :)
Glad you had a fun pre-Easter dinner with your family. Love the pics of your great grands with their baskets too. Nowadays kids seem to get a lot more in their Easter baskets...including toys, clothes and yes, Easter candy. We were happy with just a chocolate rabbit or two and some marshmallow eggs! Ha!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time for all on Saturday and it sounds like Sunday was a nice quiet day on your own. The best of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason we called it Annie Annie Over but whatever the call it was fun.
ReplyDeleteThe children are precious 💖 Always nice to spend time with family. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the cute pictures! That's wonderful that Far Guy can do your mower maintenance.
