Groceries and stuff

We are still ordering and picking up groceries.  Since I have been so tired it is easier that way, then I go into one grocery store to pick out fruit.  There is still a Skippy Peanut Butter shortage and sometimes the Lime Outshine Bars are sold out.  Seems like it varies from week to week...oranges are just pathetic this summer.  Sweet corn is being sold and ranges in price from $5 a dozen to $14 a dozen.

I am still very tired but I think I am slowly getting better.  I am tolerating the medication and will be happy when my 30 days is up ( I am on day 15 now).  Most days I am tired and my left leg hurts and my right arm, sometimes my ear hurts and sometimes my neck and my glands are still swollen....all normal with Lymes. It may take up to six months before I feel "normal."  Far Guy is doing okay....he is taking good care of me.  He supervises my nap time ...of course as soon as my head hits the pillow I am out like a light.

This is the blank that this years woodcarving starts with.   Far Guy carves just about every day.

Glad you are making some progress with getting better. Still praying for you for a speedy recovery. We are having peanut butter shortages here also. Ever since Jif did it's recall. Looking forward to seeing this years ornament.

It sounds like you're recovery is "slow but steady", Connie. Prayers answered. Those naps are important to recovery so I'm glad you're able to get them. Hang in there, buddy. This will all be a distant memory one day. Until then, stay the course. ~Andrea xoxo

I like the convenience of ordering groceries online and picking them up. It saves me time as well as money - no more impulsive purchases.

Oh Far Side, I didn't know you have Lymes! Hope you feel better real soon. Gosh, 15 more days of the medication. If I would get on the computer every day I could keep up. Just read your posts back to Andy's birthday. Enjoyed them all. That field of sunflowers is amazing! Take care.

It is so frustrating to me to be sick. It feels like I have lost out on days of living life - - but in reality, the giving in and "giving up" to sleep, etc. is what gives us our life back. Rest is such healing medicine.
We are very thankful to hear you are getting better a bit each day! Lyme's is horrible. I had a couple of friends who experienced it.
I will spare you the details - - - except to say there is one young man who was in his thirties ten years ago. They could not figure out what was wrong with him until it went to his head. Don't know if he went to Vanderbilt or where and I don't know why it took so long to diagnose. Just very thankful they Finally caught it. He is a wonderful elementary teacher with a precious family - - a good person and productive citizen just like you.
Keeping you in prayer!!!

Goodness, I hope your recovery is speedier than 6 months to feeling normal. I'm sure it is frustrating to feel so tired. Take care.

Glad to hear you are feeling a little better Connie. It sounds like a horrible thing to have - thank goodness there is medication to help you recover. Hugz, Mxx

I did the grocery store on my own this morning and I bought so much stuff. I try to buy treats for the one who is at home like Frito Corn Chips. It was not crowded but some people just like to get into the way anyway. The cookie man that was stocking complained because he can't keep up with filling the shelves. He believes the covid caused everyone to stay at home and eat cookies and now they can't stop. Take care and keep taking the meds.

Hmm.....you guys are so clever....I wonder what that wood block is going to become? Can't wait to see! Glad you're getting a lot of rest and your nurse is taking good care of you. Keep napping and resting and taking your medicine!

Neat woodblock and I can only imagine what it may become.

As for Lymes? Ugh, what can I say except that it is nasty and the treatment is tough too. I hope you can recover in less than 6 months.

I too cannot get Skippy!
A new love seat for us may take up to a year to get.

At one of the local dentist offices that does work for lower income folks and those on Medicaid ... there is a waiting list of 2,500 people.

Life sure has changed in the past two years.
