Goodbye June!

The rain during the night took care of June.  I was beginning to think she would never melt!

Since no one guessed the correct date I will send something to the two people that were the closest.  That is Rita and bookworm (Alana).  bookworm I will need your address please send it to captainconnie2001atyahoodotcom  Rita I have your address!   Not sure what I am sending you yet but it will be something handmade.

We had a quiet Mother's Day with phone calls from my daughters.   Far Guy took me out for lupper...that is lunch and supper all rolled into one.  We went to a well known Mexican place and I had my first margarita for the summer.  It was a good day... I got to catch up on laundry and some paperwork that I let slide last week and I had a nap after the margarita.  My desk is almost cleared off.

Your snow pile is gone and my yard is shaggy and wild looking!

Hope you have a great week. We are supposed to leap right into HOT weather!

So happy "June" is gone and that you had a nice Mother's Day. I bet it felt good to eat out for a change. I had a nice Mother's Day including a phone call from my son and I got to mow the lawn. Lucky me.

I'm very glad to know that June has disappeared finally. I heard rain here during the night too, and the leaves are beginning to pop open on the trees. It's good to welcome some spring temps and moisture finally.

So long, June! Now I want a margarita. I spoke to my son yesterday. It was a nice break in the day. It's hot and stormy down here.

Thank you for declaring me the co-winner! (I just emailed you the info you needed) handmade is perfect - from your blog posts I know it will be something nice! Happy that your snow finally melted. Now all you need to do is dodge all the nasty weather out there.
