My other baby brother was born 60 years ago. ( I became the favorite big sister!) Hardly seems right that he should be 60...but time marches on. My baby brother and I were so excited to get a new baby brother...as I recall we both wanted a brother!
Since I was nine years old when he was born I spent lots of time with him. He drank from a cup when he was six months old...cause he refused bottles....and was a pill to put to sleep every night. It was often my job to rub his back and talk to him as he fell asleep in his crib. When I thought he was asleep I would sneak out of the room...most times to the sound of him waking up cause I left him alone...and so I had to calm him down yet again. I am not quite sure why he couldn't just cry himself to sleep...perhaps it was just a way to keep us both out of trouble.
He was a cute kid!

Happy Birthday Other Brother! My daughter and her husband celebrated their 17th anniversary this weekend. I would have guessed 7th but since their oldest is now a teen (how did that happen) I guess she is right. I wish time would slow down!!!!

Well, happy 60th to your baby brother. My 'baby' brother just turned 48 in Sept and I turned 63 (where did the years go???) in October this year. My folks tried for 10 years to have a 'last' baby and I prayed and prayed for a brother, who I pretty much 'raised' - I even used to take him on dates with me as I was his # one baby sitter / carer. Unfortunately, my brother has isolated himself from the family, being really cruel and crude to me verbally during the period between parents' deaths (Aug 2018 - Nov 2019) and then basically telling me I was dead to him in January of this year, because I refused to fight my mother's will for him (he received my mother's 2 year old Nissan, my parents manufactures home in FL & cash payout - my sis & I actually got less but he felt he should get more than the will stated). It has been hard for me as he is my ONLY brother but he actually told me that I was dead to him... so please, enjoy every moment you have with your brothers :)

Interesting. My first baby brother is 6 1/2 years younger than I and I pretty much raised him in our large family. I would rub his head to settle him down.

That is so neat your brother could take your dad to D.C. My father died before they had finished the World War 2 monument. He never thought they had enough recognition. It is neat that the brothers live around in your area.
