The Butterbutts came this week, everyday new ones seemed to arrive...perhaps a family of Butterbutts.
They are really a Yellow - Rumped Warbler
Here you can see why they are nicknamed Butterbutts.
We sat outside last night after supper...it has been rainy and cool here.
Far Guy is getting a bit stronger everyday.
Far Side
So thankful FG is a bit stronger. I pray for you both each day.
ReplyDeleteThese are the sweetest birds!
Love those little birds...and their name. So happy Far Guy is recovering! It's cool and wet here also...more rain today. Do you think I should start building a boat? Flooding is becoming a real issue everywhere it seems. I hope you get some sunshine today.
ReplyDeleteI saw the brightest yellow goldfinch yesterday. Love your butterbutts :-).
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear FG is getting better every day. I know those butterbutts come here in the summer, I hear them, but I've never seen one. Until now, that is. :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Far Guy is feeling better. Good to see the Yellow-rumps have made it up as far as your area.
ReplyDeleteGreat news about FG!
ReplyDeleteGood news for FG, wishing him continued improvement. The birds are cute! I don't think we get these warblers in our area. At least I've never spotted them. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteGREAT NEWS all around!
ReplyDeleteGlad Far Guy continues to get stronger...it is hard to see them when they are not normal. I live the name butterbutts for the birds
ReplyDeleteGlad Far Guy is improving, and you were able to enjoy some time sitting outside.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Perfect nickname for them!
ReplyDeleteGlad FarGuy is getting better. :)
I'm so glad to hear about Far Guy. And...I laughted out loud at "butterbutts"! Ha! What a perfect name.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
It's so good to hear that FG is doing better. I hope you are feeling better too. Have a relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo nice the warblers are making their way to Minnesota. We saw them on their way north weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a couple of weeks before I see warblers. the odd one may be here now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute nickname for the birds.
ReplyDeleteWarblers are such cool little birds. It seems life they all have yellow somewhere on them. Good news about FG.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first spring that we haven't seen any Warblers by the lake. I really miss them. Actually we have fewer birds in our backyard too but I blame that on all the noise the construction next door makes.
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear that Far Guy is on the mend.
They look so cute
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that Far Guy is improving. you are doing much better as well. Love all your bird photos!
ReplyDeleteOh love it! Butterbutts! Sort of like how my Grandmother called certain birds ... certain names. Like Mugwumps.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Butterbutts. But you did say that was a nickname. Dan saw a new bird, well new to us, in the woods this week. We looked it up and it is a beautiful yellow Hooded Warbler.
ReplyDeleteThey are nice little birds. I haven't seen any here. Maybe I need to pay better attention.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness Far Guy is improving every day.
ReplyDeleteThis bird may fly over Iowa but I have never seen one. I have yet to see a goldfinch this year.
ReplyDeleteI hope to see mine soon!
